I have about 20 years of health care experience as a CNA, home health aide, patient care assistant, resident assistant, and my last adventure was as an RN with a hospice organization in Florida. My passion is caring for others. Even as a young girl, I was very attentive toward others needs. I have always put my heart in my work and cared for my patients and clientele, as if they were family. I am very considerate and respectful of others things, personal spaces, likes and dislikes. I easily adapt to personal preferences, as I understand that we all have them. My job is to assist one, to complete their daily activities, as if they were able to do it themself. I enjoy being an uplifting and fun individual. I am a lover of the outdoors, so if one may enjoy trips outdoors, I am more than willing to accomadate. I enjoy bringing a smile to someone's face and a little light into their darkness. I love animals as well, so light animal care is fine with me as well. I am very organized and like to keep my spaces neat and clean. I am very hygiene and health oriented, as well as knowledgeable on preventing the spread of infection. I am a caring person who likes to help others, most especially showing compassion to others. What attracted me to being a caregiver is helping others who cannot do things for themselves. I enjoyed the companion provided as a caregiver and also helping the sick. My personal achievement I am proud of is, almost completing my Bachelor's degree in psychology.

I have been a certified nurse assistant for almost 8 years and I love it. I never dread work and I always find myself smiling. I love caring for people and having them look at me with trust. I have 2 beautiful children who count on only me and they are also proud of what I do.

I have been in the medical field for almost 14 years. Healthcare is my passion. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 8 years old. Everyday that I was with her, I done my best to take care of her and get her anything that she needed. She told me that I was her little nurse, and that stuck in my mind. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to be in healthcare. I enjoy taking care of people, getting to know them and doing my best to provide the care that is needed. A personal achievement that makes me most proud would be doing the heimlich maneuver on a choking Vietnam vet successfully. A couple years later his diabetes and edema got worse and he was not expected to make it much longer. I stayed with the family and done my best to make him and his family comfortable during this time and gave them as much support that I could.

I am a Physical Therapist who is changing the direction of my career. I want move outside of my PT career but continue to develop relationships with my clients and help them maximize their quality of life by providing the care they need. I have worked with most medical issues, including dementia, for many years in every setting, from hospital to skilled nursing to Homecare and have helped with toileting, feeding and all aspects of mobility. I love to have fun and find that humor and compassion make people enjoy being with me and get the most out of our time together. And I have to mention- I am a huge animal lover so any pet in the home is a bonus to me! I look forward to meeting you and providing your loved one with safe, loving and dependable care.

I took care of my mom who had uterine cancer for 3 years. After she passed my dad got sick Had to have a pacemaker and had multiple aneurysms. And then he got cancer. I also cared for my mentally and physically handicapped sister who developed non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. All over a span of 10 years. I've cared for one gentleman over the past year and a half and I'm hoping to pursue a nursing career in the spring

I am currently enrolled to be an LPN by August. I was a hard working and compassionate cna for 4 years. I've missed being in the field while roofing, and ready to get reincorporated until graduation. There are many benefits about caregiving, but the best is the feelings you give yourself helping someone who may never be able to return the favor. My biggest achievement in a long time will be finishing this LPN program and changing and sustaining my life for the better.

I have always had a love for our Senior Citizens since I was young, my Grandma worked at Bristol Nursing Home for 34 years, she would take me to pass out treats to the Residents, from then on I knew I would work with them. It is the best feeling to know that you are helping someone have a better quality of life even if it is just with you presence or helping them shower or with a meal or simply having a chat with them, after all its much better to give than to recieve.
