I have about 20 years of health care experience as a CNA, home health aide, patient care assistant, resident assistant, and my last adventure was as an RN with a hospice organization in Florida. My passion is caring for others. Even as a young girl, I was very attentive toward others needs. I have always put my heart in my work and cared for my patients and clientele, as if they were family. I am very considerate and respectful of others things, personal spaces, likes and dislikes. I easily adapt to personal preferences, as I understand that we all have them. My job is to assist one, to complete their daily activities, as if they were able to do it themself. I enjoy being an uplifting and fun individual. I am a lover of the outdoors, so if one may enjoy trips outdoors, I am more than willing to accomadate. I enjoy bringing a smile to someone's face and a little light into their darkness. I love animals as well, so light animal care is fine with me as well. I am very organized and like to keep my spaces neat and clean. I am very hygiene and health oriented, as well as knowledgeable on preventing the spread of infection. I have been in the medical field for almost 14 years. Healthcare is my passion. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 8 years old. Everyday that I was with her, I done my best to take care of her and get her anything that she needed. She told me that I was her little nurse, and that stuck in my mind. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to be in healthcare. I enjoy taking care of people, getting to know them and doing my best to provide the care that is needed. A personal achievement that makes me most proud would be doing the heimlich maneuver on a choking Vietnam vet successfully. A couple years later his diabetes and edema got worse and he was not expected to make it much longer. I stayed with the family and done my best to make him and his family comfortable during this time and gave them as much support that I could.

Hello. My name is Toria Gilewala. I have worked within the healthcare industry for over 15 years as a CNA, Direct Support Professional, and Case Manager. I have a strong passion for helping others, and would describe myself, as an advocate for marginalized populations, ambitious, caring, versatile, and hard-working. I became attracted to caregiving after completing a CNA course and clinical rotation (at a local hospital) during my senior year of high school. This experience had a lasting impact on my life, prompting me to work and pursue college degrees within the healthcare industry. My previous work experience consists of working in home health care, hospital, nursing home, and community health center settings, where patient's individual needs varied. The most enjoyable part of being a caregiver is helping to make a difference in the life of others, from different walks of life. A personal achievement I am most proud of is being awarded Employee of the Year by the ETSU College of Nursing.

I am 20 years old. I graduated from Gate City High School in 2014. I attended Scott County Technical School and took a course to become a CNA. I passed the class but never got my certification for CNA. I am CPR certified. I have a passion for taking care of people! I love being outdoors, crafting, and cooking.

I am a Physical Therapist who is changing the direction of my career. I want move outside of my PT career but continue to develop relationships with my clients and help them maximize their quality of life by providing the care they need.
