My name is Whitney,I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. I have a friendly, caring personality,also outgoing. I have a lot of experience from dementia, tracheostomy, catheter (male and female), diabetic, amputee,transfer,full transfers,and partial assist,hoyer life, sliding board, bathing,and home making just to name a few things so you can have an idea of some of things I have a experience in,but I assure you I did not name all of them. I've always wanted to be able to help people who needed assistance,and that just wanted some company. Being a caregiver is an amazing job, it's the one on one that you get with the clients, being one on one,helps you to actually get to know your clients. I am in school now to become an Registered Nurse,that is something that I've always wanted to do since I was a little girl.

I have been an LPN for 30 years.I worked for approximately 25 years in long term care with geriatrics.I chose geriatrics after being a caregiver for my grandmother who was diagnosed with dementia.After 25 years in long term care I transitioned to hospice care for the last 5 years.I continue to work with hospice prn and I am looking to work with patients to provide in home care.During my nursing career I specialized in wound care.I am a caregiver from the heart and will provide excellent care to those that I serve.

Hey my name is Jatisha Odom ! I'm located in the murfreesboro area and willing to travel to smyrna, I've been in the caregiving field since i graduated in 2012 I've always had a passion in helping others , i helped out a lot with kids with disabilities while i was attending high school and it just grew on me . I know this job requires a lot of patiences and tolerance for challenging situations and i just love this type of work i took a four year break because i got pregnant and become a stay at home mom to my beautiful daughter but i was off work for awhile all my certificates expired but i plan to get my first aid and cpr certification back active and at the first of the year i plan to take my CNA classes to get my licenses here soon and add that to my profile I'm just looking for a great placement to pick back up on all of this but I'm very familiar with a lot of stuff as far as taking my clients to there appointments, doing the house needs, bathing, feeding , hospice, Hoyer lift etc. Whatever you name I've pretty much done it all and has dealt with a lot of clients with different disabilities and health problems . I am a great caregiver because I first learned how to be one by helping my parents and my brother. They had certain disabilities, both physical and mental/psychological, that touched my heart and helped me realize the importance of quality of life to everyone, not just to those who are healthy. Then, I achieved 89 credits towards my BSN (bachelors degree in nursing) and graduated with honors in Surgical Technolgy from Tennessee Technology Center, First Aid at MTSU, and am a licensed CNA and am CPR/BLS certified, and have a Leadership Award from St. Thomas Hospital. I currently work at a hospital as a CNA/PCA and am looking to work part-time to possibly full-time for someone who has the need for home health and/or caregiver needs. I have excellent references and take my work seriously!

My position as a CNA is to make sure the patients requirements are fulfilled. Making sure to leave them as Comfortable as possible. I'll make sure they are washed and have clean clothes on. I'll make sure they eat all of their meals. Make sure they go to the bathroom throughout the day. Make sure they interact with others & when it's time for them to go to bed or relax, I'll make sure they don't have needs that aren't answered.

I am a patient caregiver with a comforting approach to care. I treat my patients like I would my own mother or father. I wanted to become a caregiver because I enjoy making people feel loved and doing what I can to help them feel good. I love being a caregiver because when I've done a good job and that patient gives me a smile or says something sweet, I know that they are happy and satisfied with my services.

Nursing has been such a reward in my life. I became a nurse because I had family members that became chronically ill and I wanted to be able to care for them. This is my mentality when I care for others; I approach health as a whole person mind body and soul. My goal is to improve someone's daily life whether it be a keen ability to treat medical needs or by lending a hand, being a trusting companion, a compassionate ear or a shoulder to cry on. I have practiced nursing in critical care, memory care & health maintenance. My experiences & relationships are what allow me to continue to receive so many rewards and wins in my career.

I became a caregiver/CNA because I love taking care of people and seeing their smiles makes my day. I've always wanted to be a nurse and help others and that is still my goal, to go to nursing school... just have to save up money first! But anyways, I love taking care of others and treating people the way they should be treated. (Like people!)
