I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandparents who both raised me both passed away in nursing homes. After I saw the care and how they were being treated, I made the decision to become a nurse assistant so I could possibly make a difference. I feel as though I have, I love what I do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart and I truly enjoy helping others. I'm a good talker but a better listener and will do anything to make sure my patient is comfortable and taken care of emotional, physically, and personally. What I believe that makes me a good caregiver is the fact that I truly believe that whatever we do in life, it will come back to us, therefore if I treat someone with love, kindness, and respect, I will receive the same when it is my turn to receive the same care. When I first became a CNA I enjoyed the interaction I had with my patients. Hello my name is Jacqueline but I go by Jackie. I am 31 years old and I have been in the home health care field for about 11 years. I am a very empathetic person and make a good companion because not only have I been in this field for so long but I have also taken care of my own family members who were also special needs and have had different kinds of diagnoses. I love being a care giver so much that when I finished school for dental assisting I found a job that still encompasses that type of field because we go into nursing and assisted living facilities to provide the dental care they need.
