I'm a talkative friendly & outgoing person. I am passionate about nursing and health care....especially for the elderly! I went to school to be a nursing assistant when I was in my late 40's because straight out of college I got married (32 years now!) and had two daughters. AFTER the youngest one graduated from high school in 2010, I was then able to pursue my real dream of getting certified to be able to care for clients and hopefully make their lives a bit better!

I am a very upbeat care-giver who enjoys brightening up the the day of others. I am very loving and passionate about my job as a CNA. I come from a long line of nurses. I remember going to nursing homes with my Mom as a child and singing to her patients. My Mother was a nurse and my Dad was a paramedic as well as several other family members. I love working with patients for a long duration of time so that we get an opportunity to bond together and it helps build up trust and rapor between nurse and patient. I chose this path in the medical field from a young age when I realized how much I valued the individuality and the wisdom of my elders, and how much joy it brings me to be able to be a shining light in their darkest days. I plan on caring compassionately for my patients and rendering help to those in need. The interpersonal relationships with the patients/family are the reason I am here. In 2019, I was my father's primary caregiver, and I experienced some unprofessional nursing staff that made me want to be in the medical field even more. I have heard horror stories of unkind, unprofessional, non-caring nurses that are involved with our patients, and it utterly breaks my heart. I'm a firm believer that you lived a valuable life if you positively affected at least 1 person in your lifetime and I want to be rich in experience when my time comes. I view everyone as potential family and will always advocate for the patient with their best interest in mind. There are countless good people in this world that are deserving of so much. I crave to be a part of that experience. It's my calling here on earth and my purpose being a Christian woman. I view myself as being caring, empathetic, compassionate, understanding, medically knowledgeable, and a reliable person. I believe time with nature, is its own medicine and that love can heal. I encourage the patient to be active in their care and maintain a positive outlook. I am detail-oriented, focused, dedicated, and eager to get to know you and the family! I am a full-time student, going back to finish my bachelor's degree in nursing. I have experience with altered mental status patients and do well in deescalating situations involving conflict. My personality traits I would have to say that I enjoy making people laugh. I'm just a big goof ball. I'm energetic, I have a gentle touch and a warm heart. I got attracted to being a caregiver was because the elders have great stories, it sometimes takes me back in time like I was in their era. I have work in the hospital for the past 17years, I also work in home health care . I am a certified nurse aide. I also work in rehab for 6 years I became a caregiver because I love to help people. It is my calling. Caring for other give me joy to know that I was there , when someone needed me. I am now working on my register nurse degree, hope in the next year I will have my achievement.
