Greetings! I fell in love with caregiving while attending travel school, and working for an elderly man in his home. My passion for caregiving comes from growing up in a large family and always having people around me of all ages. I adored my grandparents, and had the pleasure of caring for all of my older siblings children before having 2 of my own. When I lost my grandparents, I decided that I wanted to spend my time around seniors, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible. It has been a 35 year career for me, and I enjoy it more every day! The personalities of my clients are so varied and so valuable, and the knowledge and humor I have witnessed has been truly priceless. I hope I can somehow give back as much as I have been given.

I would be a great addition to your care team. I have a lot of experience with caregiving, nannying, and customer service. In 2010, I began caregiving. I started with providing care for a woman (52) who was thought to have epilepsy, and later was diagnosed with brain cancer. I worked with her and her family on and off for about two years. Prior to and following that experience, I nannied for various families, with various ages and numbers of children, some of whom had disabilities. I have worked with both male and female quadriplegics for the last 5-6 years, and currently work with two male quadriplegics. I've worked almost 2yrs with one and 4.5yrs with the other. I also have experience working with a female (24) with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2, a female (24) who suffered a traumatic brain injury, a male (60) brain cancer patient who suffered a stroke as a complication, and a couple (90+) who needed assistance around the house and each suffered through congestive heart failure. I have been caregiving for over 10 years now. I began nursing school in Fall 2020 and am going to have my RN by June 2022. I am looking for a position where I can utilize my skills working closely with an individual, part time or a split shift schedule, which will give the opportunity to expand my experience, skills, and knowledge in an additional caregiving position. I am dependable, reliable, attentive, confident, organized, composed, committed, honest, trustworthy, detail oriented, responsible, respectful, mature, good at multi-tasking, and open to learning new things. I have excellent patience, communication, and quick learning skills as a result of working in different environments and with varying people. I have a flexible schedule and adapt well to different needs and requirements. I am well qualified with the diverse qualities I possess.

Please read my experience and skills. The hourly or daily rate is competitive with the rates charged by the Home care agencies and depends on the level of care and also the amount of hours of service. I offer you experience, competence, compassion and professionalism. Coming to work every day with a smile on my face I will always take care of you or your beloved ones the same way I would like to have someone taking care of my parents. Here's few things about me, my experience and services I can provide: I've been a professional caregiver for more than 11 years. I started in Adult Family Homes then i moved into the home care agencies and one to one care. For the last 9 years I've been working only independently in private homes hired privately by families. Few of my experiences are : ALS, MS, Parkinson, Dementia, Hoyer lift experience, colostomy bag, tube feeding, bathing and dressing assistance, driving safely for appointments and more. I am competent and i have the necessary experience to provide your beloved once with the best care, respect and dignity they deserve. Detail oriented, i will always strive to learn and to do things the way you are accustomed to! For me the most important is to safely do the things YOUR WAY and assist you the best of my abilities. If i believe that something or a way we are doing things isn't safe enough i won't hesitate to explain you why and ask for your opinion. Good cooking skills, and i can follow directions and instructions when given. Fluent and clear in English. Feel free to call, text or email me with any questions you might have, or to setup an in person short interview. I will be happy and honored to provide you few of my recent work references. I moved in Seattle in 2004 and lived with my uncle and his family that were managing an Adult Family Home and cared for elderly. I soon started to help and became more confident in my abilities. After 8 months i received my first job . At 24 years old i felt proud, i was dependable, i was also a young mother and knew that i was responsable for the safety and wellbeing of six seniors. I understood the responsability but also observed the way it feels to me. I was completely fulfilled and after 14 years in caregiving i know this is what i love to do since i never considered a change in profession that will bring me more joy and be a better fit for my personality. Caring for seniors in the comunity is to me such a an honor and privelage.
