I am a mother of 3. Caring for others has ALWAYS been in my soul. I cared for my grandparents as a child just trying to help and be around them. I have been a care giver since I was 15 I love working with the elderly or even the young who just need some help. I am reliable, compassionate and understanding. I enjoy being with someone and knowing I am making it easier for them in what can be the last years of their life. I learn to care for your family members how they want and need and grow to love them like my own! I love to cook and championship is my favorite. What attracted me to be a caregiver was seeing my kind hearted mom help the elderly as a CNA. She does it with so much joy and that has inspired me. A personal achievement that I am proud of is when my patient and I formed a wonderful bond. My patient felt like a grandfather to me, and until his passing we enjoyed life together. I'm a very kind personality and down to earth, have soft voices and loving person, I'started taking care my parent for 10 yrs around 2000 until they both passed in2010 then i decided to reach out to other elderly and families who need help with their parents and loved one.

I became a caregiver because I have a passion with providing care to those individuals who need assistant with staying in the comfort of their home safely. Well naturally I have a great personality and I'm very social what helped me be a great care provider it's making sure that I continue to be myself at all times so the family knows exactly to get to know the care provider What attracted me to being a care provider is taking care of my grandmother helping her comb her hair and she loves cooking well the personal achievements I am proud of is that I have five certificates under my belt I've been with Home Instead Senior Care for 7 years being with IHSS for 4 years and kindly care for 4 years and also work now with home care assistance I'm proud of the fact that no matter what I'll try my best to do what I can to make sure that the client improves on their health whatever that may be

First of all I must say that since I have been a caregiver I have learned a lot of things as far as being patient, how to truly love and care about someone , because when you are with someone for a long period of time you really get to know that person and become so close to them and once they are gone it really gets to your heart . When I go to work I like to be cheerful ,happy to be here on this earth another day. I like to take my client out for a walk or out for a ride to get an ice cream. I truly love my job!!

I am from the island so I grew up caring for my grandparents and younger siblings. So it's what I have been doing and use to doing now that I am an adult I do still help to care for my parents grandparents and also my own kids it's in me I do have patience and I love caring for anyone that needs the help just makes me feel good knowing they need my help. I started working caregiver when my mom and aunties would need a reliver someone to cover for there private caregiver jobs so I would fill in for hours or a day or even live in for few days as we all know it's a hard thing to do dedicating ur time and help when u have ur own families so it does take a village like they say u can't do it alone. Than I got my own private caregiver job I started working only weekends live this client had a colostomy bag also dementia and Alzheimer's so she really need the care around the clock I would help with her meals medication reminders also driving her to appointments and doing groceries for her and light house keeping I worked for this one client for 14 years straight it went from only weekends adding the week nights to the whole 24 hour 7 days a week. I would get my mom and cousins to relieve me when I would go on vacation or have time off but I was the main caregiver. I do still keep in contact with the family for reference cause it's hard to find private caregiver jobs.
