I'm very loving, compassion love to help elderly people since I was young.I promise my grandma that I will take care of her and everyone else that gets older I'm my family.And till this day I help everyone I can with joy.

I'm very understanding and punctual , and treat people like people. I have respect and can understand boundaries , personal space but also reach goals that need to be reached. I started doing caregiving after my great grandmother passed. She was completely independent and ended on hospice so I learned it all starting with her and when she passed I missed that feeling of helping someone and the joy I brought to them. I'm proud of the women my grandmother raised and how she never needed for anything as long as I was around.

I love Being a care giver because I can help someone in need and help out families in need of my assistance to care for their loved one. I started doing this because my nana had dementia and my family needed the help with her so I stepped up. I have also worked with a Parkinson's client and a stroke client. I love being someone they can count on, feel safe with.

Hello, I'm Heather. I became a caregiver because I believe it is my Destiny. My grandmother was 80yrs old when she went into a diabetic COMA, (we didn't know that she was diabetic) we (the family members) were all called in to say our goodbyes,because after 2wks her heart was failing . I got there last to say my goodbye, and as soon as I started speaking to her, "my grandmother awoked" and started speaking to me, she called me by my name right away. I still remember the profound impact it had on me,it activated something within me,i vowed i would always take care of my grandmother to the best of my ability .The Dr. Wanted my Grandmother to be placed in a nursing HOME but she refused, so the Dr. suggested we trained to take care of her at home. From then on I knew that I was called to do this work,helping others like my Grandmother. We all became nurses because we loved and respected her so much, my Grandmother passed 8yrs later,but we all made sure that it was the most loving, respectful, most dignified time before she passed. Needless to say when she passed, we were all surrounding her with all our love and gratitudes. She died with a BIG smile on her face, I always remember that smile and in my work I aim to inspire all my patients to smile .My Grandmother's illness became a blessing for my family and me,I would love the opportunity to assist and share my blessing with your family in the most caring, compsssionate and loving manner. A little about me I live takeing care of people who just need an extra hand or just want someone to talk to I like be able to help people. My grandmother is a big reason I become a caregiver I watched her for years struggle with Parkinson's an slight dementia and all I wanted to do was help I tried to help her but she was determined to do it herself but she knew I was right by her side if she needed an extra hand.

I am also able to take and document vitals signs, weights, intake and output as delegated per family protocol. In addition, I have a demonstrated ability to prepare and serve meals, assist individual with eating. I was a CNA for 6 yrs in an assisted living home/ long term facilities. I did private care for a year then went to pharmacy for 9yrs. Being in pharmacy my CNA expired in 2007 i renewed it in May 2014. I worked for anagency from Feb 2014 till Oct then was in private care from Sept 2014-Jan 2015. I was called back to the job I worked @ 10 yrs ago now in the memory care unit as a CNA. I love the unit it's me & a nurse with 14 residents personal care, daily activities it's a quite & locked unit. I'm very organized a planner have lists & agendas, being a caregiver as in making a bed, to a shower or a grocery run makes me fill accomplished to do it for someone that can no longer or needs assistant doing it.

I enjoy helping people
