I have been working in the medical field since I was 18 years of age. My great grandmother who passed from dementia is how I became a health care giver. My passion is to help comfort, love and support those who are in need.

I've been a CNA for over 18 years and enjoy what I do very much. I've worked private duty care for over 8 years. Im very good at what I do. I can lift, use hoyer and other transfer devices, very competent in my skills for careing for individuals. If you hire me I also have connections to other great caregivers. I'm avaliable to manage scheduling of other caregivers. I love animals I have 2 dogs,1 cat, geko, bearded dragon and 3 kids. I have a long list of skills most others don't or won't do. I have experience with cerebral palsy, autism, handling g tubes, neuromuscular disorders, type 1 diabetes (have it myself as well), epilepsy, and Cornelia de Lange syndrome. I also have 5+ years of experience with the elderly and have experience with dementia, diabetes, dialysis, stroke victims, bathing/ dressing, toileting, transfers, hoyer lift, gait belt, lift to stand, and meal preparation. I am a non smoker, located in Union(but willing to travel), and have excellent references! I'm also studying Social Work online at Missouri State University.

I have been a caregiver since I was 18. I have devoted my life to caring for people who can not care for themselves. I had no idea when I started my first job as a caregiver that this is what I would fall in love with it, but life is life. The thing I love the most about caring for others is when I am able to see the impact I made on someone else's life, whether it be my client or their family.

I have worked with children of all ages, elderly, disabled adults and children for almost 15 years. I enjoy taking care of people, I have worked in the medical field since I was 17. I'm a CNA as well as a CMT, L1MA, first aid and cpr certified and insulin certified. I'm a hard worker and very dependable. I prefer private or in home care to facilities due to the fact that I get a chance to know my clients one on one and build somewhat of a professional relationship with them. I'm a outgoing, cheerful person, and very patient. I've always been told I have a great personality but Im just a normal everyday person that cares deeply for those that I care for.

You don't have to be born or aged to have a disability. I feel that any one of us could be disabled if an accident happens. And if that did happen, I would hope that I had caring individuals to also help me. I want to help and care for someone the way I would want to be cared for. To be respected the way I would want respect. I enjoy being able to help. Bringing someone into your home requires a lot of trust. I am honest and trustworthy. My greatest achievement has been being able to witness true happiness in a highly disabled individual!

My top personality traits that help me be a great caregiver, is my level of patience, communication skills, and the simple fact that I genuinely care about the people that I work with. Even though it is a job I see it as an opportunity to learn new things, and gain new perspectives on life. I worked for comprehensive health care, and have loved it sense. My mother is a CNA and works in home health care, she helped me get into this line of work. I was afraid at first but I began to truly enjoy helping others, I love hearing their story's and giving them companionship. Recently, one lady I was taking care of passed away and you never know how much of an impact they have on you until that happens. It really opened up my mind and heart working with the elderly, I personally am proud of just being able to make people happy.

I like to help other. I have 5 children. I like for people to be able to stay in there homes as long as possible. I love hearing stories about people.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I genuinely care for the people I take care of and treat them as if they were my own family. I want them to be happy when they see me and be able to confidently say I take good care of them. A few years ago, I never saw myself doing this type of work whatsoever. I honestly really needed a job and a local nursing home hired me and took me through classes to get certified! I found myself there for over a year and I knew almost everyone by name on all of the halls. I had a special bond with one lady in particular and she always loved seeing me come into her room. She always made sure to tell me how good I'm doing. Overall, just knowing I am helping those who cannot help themselves gives me some sense of purpose and it makes me feel good. You get close to the people you take care of and they become like a grandma or grandpa to you. My favorite part about having a little extra time and sitting down to talk to some of the residents. I'm fascinated by what things were like 50+ years ago and hearing all about their life and experiences. I also enjoy looking at pictures with them. Every single one of them have different quarks and personalities and it's so fun talking to some of them. I am most proud of the way I can confidently say that I take GOOD care of my residents and that I do it for more than just a check. If I can go home with a clear mind and know for sure I did the best of my ability, I know I'm doing something right. I care for them like I would want someone to care for my mom or grandparents.

I have been in this field of care giving for 20+years. I enjoy being sociable, energetic, being kind, sympathetic and always happy to help. I do have alot of patience to provide the best care possible. Safety is most important to me in caring for anyone. I am my 84yr. old mothers caregiver. She lives in my home , I do let her do for herself as much possible. I know it makes her feel good when she can do things for herself. Caregiving is a huge personal accomplishment and puts a smile on my face when I can help another. I have taken care of Alzheimer Patients, Residents with Dementia , Hospice Care, and Stroke Patients. I am very Proud to be in this field and care very deeply for people and always do my very best at caring for your loved ones.
