I have dedicated my life to helping others. My background includes providing care to seniors with limited mobility, terminal illnesses ,strokes, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease. In these roles, I consistently team with family members, case managers, hospice and assisted living staff to create an environment conducive to the seniors' physical and mental health. I use a person-centered approach. Learning more about seniors and their needs is important, therefore, I frequently attend pertinent training and classes. I am: FULLY VACCINATED and boosted from COVID 19, certified in CPR and First Aid. I have a flexible schedule which allows me to work part time or full time . WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT CAREGIVER? I have a very upbeat attitude. I am very caring, compassionate, patient and I have a huge heart. I stay professional while I am on the job and I take my role as a caregiver very seriously. I like to know the one I am assisting is comfortable and happy, if they are feeling down, I do what I can to make sure they are having a wonderful day and always have a smile on their face. WHY DID YOU COME A CAREGIVER? I became a caregiver because I love helping others. I grew up in the life of taking care of people. I have watched/helped my mom when she was working in the hospital. I assisted my grandmother in helping others in her community. I have babysat for many friends and family members. WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT BEING A CAREGIVER? Its not that I like being a caregiver, I LOVE being a caregiver. Knowing I am making a difference in someone's life and helping them with anything/everything they need is the best. My goal is make sure that by the time my shift is over, they are smiling and happy. WHAT IS A PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT YOU ARE PROUD OF?? my personal achievement I am very proud of was being told that I had made a big impact on two of the clients I was taking care of. I was informed when they were told I was coming on shift they would start smiling and make sweet comments about how I did my job and well I took care of them. Too me that was the sweetest thing and yet most rewarding part of my job.

My grandmother was on hospice when I was a young girl. I saw how grateful my grandmother was and how much her caregiver touched my Grandmother's life. Ever since I wanted to make a difference and touch the lives of others. I have been a CNA for three years now, and I take pride in taking care of others. I want to make a difference in the life of every patient that I see . I not only want to be there for the patient but for their family too.

I am native to the Willamette valley and have spent the last 7 years practicing in the wellness field. I have worked in a variety of care giving positions and have been drawn to working with seniors at various times. I appreciate being helpful to elders and assisting them with activities of daily living in a productive and charismatic way. I spent a great deal of my childhood cleaning and working within all types of offices which has given me tons of mobility and familiarity- especially throughout Benton County. I have been in the field of caregiving for many years in various ways. I have done volunteer work for a day program with people with dementia. After that I worked through Senior Services with different individuals and for the 12 yearsI have worked with people with developmental disabilities. I've been a support staff as well as a house manager have helped with toileting, cooking, bathing, grocery shopping, transportation to medical appointments, and passing medication. I currently work for a company that works with with the elderly and disabled. I currently do all the above as well as as work with catheters and hoyer lifts. I just enjoy working with people.

Been a caregiver for 8 years now, so I can be kind of pushy when it is necessary for motivation, but i also know when being pushy is to much for others. I enjoy helping others achieve goals and feel good about them selves, and give 100% at any occupation, and try to learn new from my clients as well. Having alot of sickness in my personal family life is what inspired me to become a care giver. Helping people in need has always been my calling, have always had a deep instinct of others well being. I attended 8 months of a 15 month medical assistance school in 2015. Would have gladly finished but the school shut down in town. Im proud of the achievement of having this career for so long, to get to know it so well, with more to come. Just growing and learning everyday is a great achievment.

I am detial oriented, i care about everyone around me , i have always loved taking care of others . I love to help. I decided to become a caregiver because i have ways been one to help and take care of someone when they needed it. I rook care of my grandfather for years from age 11-18 and whenever i could between work and my children until he passed away in 2016 and now care for my father on my days off and take care of my two girls when away from work . What do i enjoy most about being a caregiver ? Seeing the amile on someone's face everyday.

I am a very dedicated worker. I never call out and I'm very passionate with helping people. I try my best to go above and beyond to be the best caregiver and employee! When I first started caregiving I didn't think I would like it but I fell in love with it! I think what I liked the most is seeing hope on residents faces to have help through a difficult time. And the greatest achievement would be having the family thank me for helping their mom or dad.

What I enjoy most about caregiving is seeing my resident happy and full of life, doing things they thought they maybe couldn't do anymore or loved doing but need assistance.
