One of my favorite experiences being a caregiver are the families that I meet and become close with. They become family to me too. I took care of my husband who passed after 19 years of cancer, my grandparents , who both suffered from Alzheimer's. Spent numerous years working in a rest home & for private clients in their home. Here I've learned many skills for many areas where disease affects family. If you choose me to be a part of your care team I'm confident I can complete any task asked of me. He had Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body dementia. I recently was requested, by the daughter of an 82 year old lady who I had previously cared for, to travel to FL to stay with her mother for one week while she traveled back to IL for meetings. I would consider accompanying an elder client if need be to travel.
