Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

I started volunteering at my local senior center as a teenager, and from then I knew I wanted a career with elders. I was given an opportunity to caregive 3 years ago, and I quickly worked up the latter to running a house. I have found myself gaining trust of my residents easily and maintaining a personal yet professional relationship with them. Recently I completed NA training and am awaiting my State Board testing for my CNA license.

I would like to provide companionship for someone that needs assistance. I am available for transportation to an appointment, cleaning, organizing, laundry, shopping and short day trips to enjoy the flowers. My experience has been caring for my father for several years, he had Parkinson's Disease with progressive dementia. He was a Veteran and received fabulous care through VA facilities. My sister and I provided his transportation to appointments to VA clinics and the hospital on the hill. Currently, I am a caregiver/companion for a sweet lady with dementia. She lives at home with her husband, I stay with her so he can take some time away to go fishing or take care of personal business. I live in Scappoose with my husband of 47 years, we have two children and four grandchildren that are fabulous!

I am patient,caring and love making people smile! If I can make someones day or night better by just being there,it makes it all worth it! I have worked with dementia, alzheimer's, stroke and hospice. I enjoy helping people remember there life history and every day things. I understand it takes trust to let someone take care of your loved one and it can be hard . That's why I am here to try and make it a little easier!

I have over 10 years of caregiving experience. In all types of settings. Facility, home health, elderly care, dementia, diabetes, I am HIV and bloodborne pathogens certified, cpr and first aide certified and have my CNA certification in Washington state. Willing to submit to all and any background or drug testing. Most of all, I love taking care of others and am furthing my career in nursing. I also hold a nurse delegation in the state of Washington with a focus on diabetes. I can administer insulin and monitor blood sugar. Alzheimer's and Demetria certified.

Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. From bathing, playing games, Dr appointments, cooking and cleaning their homes. I am happy to do what it takes to keep your family member safe and happy in their home environment.

I have been a caregiver for almost 20 years now I have worked in multiple places like nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living, in home settings, and even worked for a nursing agency where I traveled around and work two different facilities I even got to work in the prison for a short time. I am compassionate and try to take my time with everybody that I take care of I think of them as family. I have been told that I go above and beyond to make sure that my clients are safe happy and having a good day no matter the case. the thing I enjoy most about being caregiver is the fact that I get to help somebody, make their day brighter, and just give them companionship when sometimes they don't have it.
