Hello everyone, my name is Samantha. I have 3+ years experience in care. A couple things about me: I am loving, caring, reliable, & beyond respectful. I love being able to help others! I have worked with patients/residents/clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, & more. What attracted me most about being a caregiver is the bond Im able to create with patients/residents/clients & their families.

I'm a very kind personality and down to earth, have soft voices and loving person, I'started taking care my parent for 10 yrs around 2000 until they both passed in2010 then i decided to reach out to other elderly and families who need help with their parents and loved one.

I am a compassionate caregiver who enjoys helping others. I came into caregiving when a family member became very ill. I am so proud I was able to care for her and provide appropriate amounts of support and comfort until she finally passed away. That experience deepened my compassion for others and a desire to help others live more independent lives.

I became a caregiver because I love to help people and I have the right personality for it. I'm very patient and dependable. I've been a caregiver for about 10 years although I do not plan to do this as a career I do enjoy being able to help others, and comfort those who need comforting.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. Also I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I just finished my Certified Nursing Assistant class to get forward to health care field.

Im a hard working person and I can learn new responsibility a bit faster. I have a lot of patience in handling clients.

I became a caregiver at a very young age because I have a passion for helping others and wanting others to feel that they matter! Now I am a contracted Home Care Case Manager, and assist clients from within all aspects of home health. I am respectful, empathetic, attentive, patient, reliable, dependable, trustworthy, and always clean in appearance. I have loved being in home healthcare for a long time. I have found my niche, per say. I am a positive but gentle personality. I can talk when needed & be quiet when needed also. I treat people in their homes exactly how they want to be treated & do what they like having done. Kinda like "Burger King," saying, "having it your way." It is your home & I try to make it be how you want it to continue to be. I am very patient & want those I care for to feel good when I am there. I do not plan on changing their care plan & what is already working unless the client or family tells me otherwise. I enjoy so many aspects of the job. I enjoy doing for the client. I enjoy cooking their meals when needed & I take my time with the client. I will do for them anything they would need me to do & make their days enjoyable. My #1 priority is client safety & feeling comfortable with me as their caregiver. I have lots of experience, I have my CNA lic here in CA also was a Medical Assistant & I am an LVN but not licensed in the state of CA. I came back to my home state in 2011 & did not take the test as I was going to do something else when I arrived back. With my caregiving experience I do not think I will get licensed out here. I have let too much time laspe, unfortunately.

As is most people I started caring for my grandmother in 2001. And then I went to IHSS in Marin County started working for them. I've had up to six patients at a time. I love the different personalities of the people that I meet I love to hear their stories when I meet them I meet their families and it's just a makes me feel good. I have worked with a few dementia patients and I really enjoyed working with them and learning from them.
