I am a 37year old CNA and mother of three,I became a caregiver because I love helping others and caring for those who can't perform or need assistance with their daily activities. When I was a young girl my mother was diagnosed with MS and my siblings and I were responsible for helping her with her daily activities and from that moment forward I knew that was my calling. In the past I have taken care of several loved ones and others until they're last moment here and thats what I feel like I am here to do, its my passion. I love being able to make a difference in someone else's life and make them happy.

I started caring for both my parents but at different times when they were diagnosed with cancer yrs ago, my dad saw how I was with mom & from the time a also cared for him he knew it was my calling & he was comfortable in my care. Then just within the past year I was able to care for my mother in law as well. I just feel compassionate about caring for others & it's such a rewarding experience everyday to know I'm making a difference in someone's life! The most rewarding experiences I recall is when new accomplishments are made & to see their faces show such excitement. There's always something to be thankful for at the end of the day,

I worked with people With autism I work with people with behavior issues, CP cervical, to people with diabetes cancer Strokes Alzheimer dementia I work with people with catheters G tubes pretty much all the above I love what I do I started out as just a support provider and now I'm a Certified nursing assistant, now currently state certified Patient Care Tech, I am currently in school for Radiology Tech. I definitely love my health career and plan on staying in this field for a while

I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to learn how to take care of her, she was a survivor for 40 year, I admired how the nurses and the patient care techs took care of her. I am looking for that one on one care instead of 18 patients as a load, It pays well but I am not getting the satisfaction of what my purpose is for doing direct patient care.
