I am a mother of 3 daughters and I have 5 grandchildren. I am very kindhearted and nurturing, making sure they have everything they need. I love taking care of people that are in need of help. I get my enjoyment from knowing that I help someone smile and have a better quality of life. My personal achievement is always being able to support my family in times when they need my help. I am very family oriented.

I genuinely love people, I don't care about the color of your skin, I just see people. I have been taking care of people in my family all of my life, I enjoy doing for others and seeing the smile on their faces. Putting a smile on someone's face who wouldn't usually smile. I nursed my mom back to health after she had her leg amputated from complications of Diabetes, I helped her get her life back by working with her every day until she got strong enough to use her prosthetic leg on her own, now I cannot slow her down.

Hello, My name Is April Smith. I currently live in Shreveport La, im originally from Tahlequah Oklahoma. I have been a helper most of my life. Growing up my mom had Lucas and I remember always wanting to help her. Even though she didn't ask I can remember feeling like a super hero when I helped her. She was my Hero. She has always been in the business of caring for others. First as a CNA, for most of my young life. And then a an activies coordinator. So it's been a life long experience for me. Myself I have been a CNA, and now a caregiver believe in values, Dependability, and Honesty. I treat my clients how I would want some one to treat a family member of mine. I believe that families entrust us with a very valuable asset of theirs. And I believe a caregivers job is one of honor. Alot of the people we care for have paved the roads in this world we live in. And in some pretty hectic times. I believe we have two ears and one mouth for a reason. To listen twice as much as we speak. Their are so many unknown bonuses to what we do. So I believe being compassionate, understanding and reliable., are core characteristics for what we do.

At the age of sixteen I helped a family friend looking after there mother whom had alzheimer's. During that time I found what I was compassionate about and what I wanted to do for a living. I love being a caregiver I love help other's in need. To able to care for someone in need and I know they are getting the best care in my hands makes my day to see a smile on my patients face's of a sigh of thanks. Going back to school and get my Associate Degree. I am a 33 year old woman I have been a caregiver for 17 years now this is my true passion I've walked away from this duty but my heart has brought me back the way i looked at it's not about when we get old at any giving time something can happen to you and if you ever have to depend on someone to care for you don't you want some to care for you with compassion patients understand open mind and a up lifting spirit. All my life all I have ever done is care for other with or with pay i do it because that's the person i am I just that kind of girl...

I'm a very outgoing person I love everyone, easy to get along with I try to liven the mood make people happier smile laugh etc. But I'm also a wonderful cook and hard worker. Like to keep everything clean at the same time

Hello, my name is LaNedra Young and being a nurturer at heart and being able to emphasize with others makes me a great caregiver. I live as if it's my duty to maintain peace and happiness where ever I go . What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was when my mom fell sick and no one was willing to step up and help. We've had past family members who have been neglected by members of the healthcare field but that didn't stop me because their mistakes only remind me of what not to do. I enjoy being able to grow my fruits of the Spirit especially patience and gentleness because those two things inspires patients to keep going and to not give up when someone is being gentle and caring with them. My personal achievement that I am proud of is realizing how harmful being selfish can be and I turned my life around to becoming a selfless person. I am a very friendly down to earth women of 61 years young. I have a vast array of professional experiences from recovering patients straight from the operating room that have had open heart surgery to caring for newborns. I had to retire in 2004 because I became very ill with lymphedema and a very painful bladder disease called interstitial cystitis. Being severely ill has made me even more caring and compassionate for anyone suffering from any illness. I like to incorporate family into my patient care as much or as little as the family member is comfortable. I believe that God allowed me to become ill so that I could become a very compassionate care giver. I actually CARE for my patients.
