My name is Lolita and I have been working as an assisted living care support person for going on 4 years! I absolutely love helping any way possible. My passion is healthcare and I one day want to become a RN- registered nurse.

I'm a good care giver because I treat my clients as if the are family ..... understand when the are in pain they might not be in the best of moods. I try to understand the best I can and help the best I can.

I was a caregiver to a quadriplegic professor when I was in college to help pay for my tuition. After college, I continued doing private care on the side for some Alzheimer patients at a nursing home. In 2004, I enrolled at a nursing school for a year and a half. I did not finish my degree, but I did receive my certification as a CNA and as a Medication Technician. I keep up to date with the newest discoveries and findings in the world of medicine. Even though I have not had any new medical training, I am current on my knowledge of diseases, medications and side effects of such medications. For instance, I am aware that when you care for an Alzheimer's patient, you step into his/her world, and not insist that he/she conforms to your expectations of what is real. I am compassionate and capable. All of the kids are either all grown or almost grown, but I still have this vast need to nurture. My husband refuses to be smothered, so, I need to go out of the house and find someone else who would appreciate being cared for :-) My kids are my biggest accomplishment. The eldest is going to medical school this summer, and the middle one is attending UMKC in August. The youngest one is doing great as a Sophomore while giving out just enough sass to maintain her teenage status.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. One of my personal achievements is to be able to graduate from school, proud of that.

I am a mother, and cna full time. I enjoy taking care of other and spending time at work, then at home with my children.

What makes me a great caregiver is that my passion has always been to take care of people. It is something that comes natural to me. I was a medical assistant for 20+ years and one of my favorite roles was being a patient advocate and just being able to do what the patient needed to make their day easier for them. I have an upbeat personality and I am a great listener.

I am friendly and kind. I work well with others and I'm willing to go above and beyond for a client. I was first attracted to being a caregiver because I like helping people. I enjoy interacting with clients and making sure they are happy and well cared for and that all there needs are met and they don't have to worry about anything I enjoy cooking and cleaning for clients I have earned several certificates related to my job as a caregiver in the past two years

What drives me to be a care giver is not only because its a job its a okace were i feel like i belong taking care of others who needs some one who ubderstand their time of needs and when its apporerate. To me care giving is one of the best jobs i have done in my life. That being said im going to school to become a RN.

I have always had a passion to work in the health care field. I love being able to help. If I can be of help to keep your loved one in their home I think that's wonderful. I am very dependable and reliable. I develope relationships with my clients and then of them as family. When taking care of your loved on I always think of how I would want my loved one treated and taken care of.

I am a true advocate for the patient I have work in O.R. For 33 years. Also have volunteered with KC hospice in the past, I now volunteered with Uplift and give my extra time and compassionate to feeding the KC homeless
