Hi, I'm Adrian and I have been a caregiver since I was a little girl assisting my great aunt as she worked a home health aide case, not knowing that I would grow up to enjoy the field. I have 12 years of experience with 10 years a certified CNA. I often enjoy caring for my clients as if they were my own family members and soon enough I will get the recognition as their family member. I enjoy listening to the many stories and the wisdom I gain by working with different clients. I will encourage independency; however, I know in some cases there are total dependent clients. My absolute weakness is seeing or hearing of someone that was once so full of life, very active to declining although I know that's a part of life.

The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. I've been working in this field for over 6years now and I wouldn't change that. My biggest achievement is to grow with the families I work for. I am also CPR/1st AID CERTIFIED.

Hello , my name is kendra I been a caregiver for over 6 years now and I love it . I love the people I have met and got a chance to take care and help out over the years . Why I started being a caregiver because I always loved to help out people in need and seeing the smile on their faces and their loved one because they know their loved one is in good hands and is getting that love and support they need . I'm a very outgoing person and love to see everyone around me happy , I don't like to sit in one spot I always move around because it's always work to be done . One of my personal achievements is motivating that client to do something they think they cannot do because they either think their too old or just because they have a disability. I am 68yr of age female, have worked in healthcare for 30 yrs, as a Respiratory Care practitioner, had to leave my job to take care of sister who was at home ill. I like taking care of elderly people, It was rewarding to assist my sister at home, thats when I considered becoming a caregiver.

I have had to take care of parents with illnesses one parent was terminal. And I know first had how it can be some what overwhelming. To have someone there to help and care for you love ones the way that you would is a great weight of your mind. I like the fact that I can help someone have a peace of mind. That I am giving care to someone in need, the client and their love ones. I am proud that I received my degree as Medical Assistant. I am currently studying to take my state exam and I am also a Certified Phlebotomist. Being able to finish my degrees with a family was a challenge but I had a great support systems. I am a mother of 4 ages (25, 21,19, 4) and I am raising my 10 years old niece. When I was 18 I went to school to become a certified nursing assistant. I worked as a CNA for about 5 to 6 years then I moved to retail. My parents thought that would be good for me but, I was young and thought otherwise. Now I feel that I have come full circle in my life, and being a caregiver has always been in me. My mother was nurse and my father a therapist. I have been a caregiver all my life in some form or another. So I guess you can say that caregiving has been my life gift for awhile.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping those in need. Space and opportunity is what I like most about being a caregiver because it gives me the chance to show my caring abilities as well as my nurturing abilities. a personal achievement I am proud of and dealing with a nursing home is when one of my patients who was not able to feed her Self, overtime became able to do so.
