I'm caring, passionate, and organized. I became a caregiver after taking care of my mother. Noticing that it's hard to find a caregiver that will take care of your love like you would. Knowing that I can provide this quality of service I took the courses to become a certified caregiver. I am proud of and enjoy helping others especially those who can't help themselves.

I became a Caregiver because I needed the certification for another job that I thought I would be well suited for. I thought I would fair out well as a Lab Tech for one of the local mental hospitals. Not long after I'd graduated from the CNA program and had begun working as a Lab Tech in the hospital clinic, I discovered the hospital was due to close in less than a year ; there were no openings at any of the sister branches. I took a job with a visiting nurse agency as a Phlebotomist / CNA. Although they had more CNA work than Phlebotomy, I needed a job and lacked experience. The job also offered a year long course in disease management coaching and had good benefits. As time passed, I began to work in other areas of caregiving to see what my specialty might be and decided I liked working with seniors; they seemed to have tons of life experience and didn't mind sharing it ( I often found myself wondering if should've been paying them for all they taught me - important things about life I never even thought of !), They seemed to really appreciate anything I did for them. I find the intrinsic value of serving the elders rewarding. Since discovering what my passion is, I've done nothing else.

Currently I'm in process to obtain my professional license in OT. I am looking for a part time caregiver job. I am responsible, caring, encouraging, determined, respectul and a good listener. I became a caregiver, because caring for someone else, is the most rewarding thing that I could ever done. I like being a caregiver, because helping someone feeling better is pricless. I have been a caregiver for 14 plus years. Since a young child, I have been around nursing facilities in some way because everyone in my family has worked in one. I used to volunteer in the nursing facility that my mom worked in with the activities department. I would help make cookies and pass them out to the residents. I enjoy the most sitting with them and listening to their stories. Becoming a caregiver came natural to me.

Most of my clients will say I am a good lister, I go above and beyond to see my clients are having a good day, mostly time my friends think I respect time ....that I will say yes because if a person doesn't respect time then they are just wasting my time .
