Hi! I've been an RN for 26 yrs. I LOVE caring for others and all that comes with being a nurse. I'm not necessarily looking for high-tech, intensive nursing right now. I'm more interested in getting out of the house to be of use to someone who needs some assistance at home or out in the community. Our 3 sons are grown and out on their own now. I've been home for a couple years, caring for my husband who is a traumatic brain injury survivor, so if you need help, I'll RUN out the door. I have been in the field of caregiving in some form or another, most of my adult life. I have worked as a Nursing assistant in nursing homes, a hospital on the Med/surgery and Palliative care floor, and out of clients homes. I currently work as provider for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities on the weekends. I have provided support for DD individuals for most of the past 7-8 years. Along with professional care, I have also given care to family members at home after a stroke, and with post-surgery care as well.
