I truly care about people and their happiness/quality of life. I am known among family and friends as the one that gives more than takes. I currently take care of my mother-in-law (she's 68) and she's been great practice for this role! I have also worked for an assisted living facility where I learned to prep cook, meal plan, prepare meals, and bathe/dress several clients. I enjoyed the personal connections and relationships the most with that role and I'd love to continue. My proudest personal achievement would have to be my son, Phillip. He's 10 now and the past decade has been the best one!

I love being a caregiver because I enjoy being able to get back to people that need it. I also have over 15 years of healthcare experience, ranging from dementia and Alzheimer's assistance, development, disabled adults, private, caregiving, and assistant, living and doing daily activities. I love being a caregiver, because I feel like it takes a special person to be able to do that. People want 100% of your time when they're getting help, and you want to make them feel the best about themselves as you can. Their families are trusting you to take care of their loved ones, so you need to give it 110% at all times.

I am compassionate,patient, kind, honest and hardworking Mother of 4. I love getting to know new people and take pride in being able to help in any field I'm needed. It's not just about a job but getting to know my clients on a personal level. I believe being a caregiver takes a special kind of person who works not only on a professional level but from the heart. If I don't know something I'm open to learning new skills so I can better assist my clients. My greatest achievements are my 4 Amazing kids. I have been a caregiver off and on since 1993. My wife and I cared for her parents until they passed away in our home. We were live in caregivers for some dear friends of ours until they passed away in their home. I believe the only way to become a great caregiver is to be willing to learn from your client. No person is alike and no problem the same.

I have been a caregiver as long as I can remember. It's just natural for me to want to shelter or take care of people, and animals too, and make them feel comfortable and safe and loved. I started babysitting and petsitting at the age of 9 proving I was mature enough to do the job and that I am honest and trustworthy. Those qualities, as well as compassion, respect, and integrity, are important to me and I hope and try to reflect that in everything I do.
