I became a caregiver for the following reasons there are never enough caregivers to go around, I have worked short handed in caregiving since I started. I have been working the the health field for 18 years. I have worked in home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and psych hospitals. I love helping people. I love to sit and hear their the stories of their past. I am a very caring person and treat all my residents as if they were my own family. They are my everything and my reason to get up every day and keep doing what I do. My second one is the fact that I am now back in school. My name is Brittany Wood im a 22 year old CNA,I just moved to the area. Ever since i was a child i have always enjoyed helping others. From 11 years old till i was 21 i assisted taking care of my aunt who has intellectual disability and is also blind, this consisted of helping prepare meals, bathing and dressing. At 14 i helped care for my grandmother while she was in hospice at my home. When i went to high school i got my CNA license through our BOCES program. I was a CNA at a nursing home in Warsaw NY for the last 3 years. My residents loved my company and im very excited to help you!
