I have been in sales and marketing most of my 35+ years of professional experience. I got out of professional industry to take care of my parents who needed full time assistance; would trade it for the world, although I miss them terribly. Since I have grown even more interested in taking care of those in need, sharing stories and laughter...best medicine. My daily goal is to make a person laugh or smile daily.

I enjoy the ability to help others, to gain knowledge form the elderly. I became a caregiver a few years after my grandmother was put in a nursing home. I saw the love and compassion she received and this inspired me to want to help the elderly and disabled. I got my CNA when I was 18 and my EMT when I was 20. I am proud to say I have helped an number of sweet people and they in turn have taught me so much. As a mother of two children, I want to show them that loving, caring and respect of all ages, ethnicity will make this world a better place.

What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was my grandmother she was hospitalized and I was the sole provider for her when she was bedridden those were the best 6 months of my life just being able to give back to a woman who gave so much to me and my mom. Without our elderly, we would be nothing in this world they gave us a foundation and my mission is to give back and make sure that they are fully taken care of. What I enjoy most about caregiving is the smile I see on there face every day when they see I am at their home there to assist and the love they have for me being around them. A personal achievement I am proud of is starting school so that I may become an RN and I will be able to do more for the elderly and give them great care and peace of mind. I started off taking care of my great grandma at a very young age. I loved every minute of helping her out so I tried being a caregiver about 6 years ago and fell in love with helping people out in ways they can't help themselves with daily stuff/just being a shoulder to cry on or a open ear. I have been a caring giver since childhood from traits inherited from my mother whom was a RN. I originally took a course in HHA in 2008 as a means to educate myself to properly care for my mother when she suffered from a stroke. I began working as an HHA in 2011 and later obtained my CNA licensing within the same year. It has been rewarding assisting others achieve activities despite limitations and often regaining their independence.
