I started out very young as a caregiver, taking care of my father and aunts when they could not do things for themselves. Throughout the years those skills stayed with me. I am a compassionate mother of three girls who received her Associates Degree in Medical Assisting prior to getting married. Even before that, I had done home health care for years where I cared for the sick, elderly, and disabled. Some things that I would help patients do were light housework, help them with dressing, light housework, help with medications, run errands, and general companionship. This kind of work is very important and rewarding to me.
