My personality traits or expertise are that I try to communicate well with the elderly and try to be as patient as possible to be able to understand their needs. What attracted me to be a caregiver was that I lost my job as a clerk due to personal reasons years ago and well I had to work to support myself and that's when I started as a caregiver and actually I've enjoyed it. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I love socializing with them and make them feel that they belong here in this world other than them being depressed about not having anyone to communicate with them as far as their families who are working and not having time to visit with them. My personal achievements was being able to do just about everything possible with the elderly since they all have different moods and are used to having everything their own way. All elderly have different needs and moods every single day so you have to be able to adjust to their needs or communicate with them as best possible and like I said you need to have alot of patience.

Caring , empathetic , loving and helping others , have been some of the traits that have made me be a very successful caregiver. I love to see my patient with a smile even when it's difficult at time I try my best to have them in good spirts and of course well taken care of . In past experiences in my caregiving career, I have experience a wonderful come back of a patient being bed bound , to being total independent of course with proper care and Dr recommendations , we got him to being as independent as possible .

What makes me an excellent caregiver is being compassionate to taking care of the elderly, I'm understanding, patient, hardworking, and punctual. The person that attracted me to being a caregiver was my grandma I enjoyed helping her and just being there for her. My personal achievement will always be me being there for my grandma helping her with anything she needed she suffered from cancer and wasn't able to do stuff on her own and I put my all in trying to help her and make her feel well, comfortable and loved until she departed, and I would like to help other elders with their needs and companionship.

I make a great caregiver because I love meeting people and making new friendships. I enjoy building trusting relationships. I am good with children and naturally have a lot of patience and enjoy keeping up with their energy. I have constantly taken care of my sisters and brothers children. I have also cared for my father in times of need. I am also working on becoming an elementary school teacher and feel that the strategies and methods of child development I have learned can be beneficial as a caregiver.
