I never intended to become a caregiver. I fell into the position through a friend's connection and discovered that I absolutely love it (and I am amazing at it!) I am a trained and skilled healthcare provider with a background in biomechanics and rehabilitation. I have reliable transportation, am intelligent and good at managing schedules and appointments, and I have a cheerful, fun personality. I am responsible, reliable and mature. As a caregiver, I have found it incredibly rewarding to insert myself into a home that was struggling just to get by day to day, and help bring order and flow. Watching the progress my patient has made over the past few months is one of the most rewarding experience of my life. When I can see that other's lives are better because of me, it warms my soul. I am proud that I have nearly worked myself out of a job. My current position is with a recovering stroke patient. When I first started working with him, he needed help simply getting from his chair into his wheelchair. Now he is walking unassisted, dressing himself, and toileting alone. I love this family, but my days there are numbered (in a good way!).

I have experience with mentally handicapped. I worked at a care center for 3 years and found enjoyment in helping others. I also have two kids of my own that I am raising and also am fulfilled in teaching and helping them to become dependent adults. My mother had a stroke 4 years ago and have helped her with rehabilitation and daily care to get her back to dependency. I am a patient individual and would love to have the opportunity to help people who are unable to help themselves.

I i started that kind of job when my mom have strokes two time n it's really bad.n only me not work that time.i move take care my mom cleaning take her shower cook n cleaning take her outside feat her.turn her every time excercise her.change her diaper.for 5yrs then she pass away,then i take care my dad do the same thing to my dad for 3 years my dad pass away.for that moment i like to do the same thing to everyone they need help.everytime when you I m do the other people i click to my mine my parents n i need to do the same thing i feel that my mom n my dad i have more love respect n treat them good n make them happy.that y i like to do that kind of job the love that have.to my parents i need to share other people.

Have been a CNA for about 6 years now. I initially wanted to be a nurse, but being a D1 student-athlete at Weber State, the clinical hours of nursing and the demands of softball did not work . I love relationship building and companionship as a CNA, that is what makes it all worth it. I recently received my B.S in Healthcare Service Administration and am pursuing a dual master's degree of healthcare and business administration.

I have been a caregiver for almost 25 years. I was a member of a religious congregation for 23 years. Our main mission is to care for the Elderly in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities own by the Congregation. Caring for the Elderly and the sick becomes second nature to me because in my culture (Samoan) it is a blessing to be able to care for our own elderly parents. I love doing the same to others. Last year, my dad was very sick and couldn't walk. I decided to leave the Congregation to care for him who is now able to carry out ADLs by himself, praise God!! I must say, being a caregiver gives me special satisfaction and fulfillment. It is life giving, making other people's lives better. I believe that any great caregiver has to truly enjoy doing what they do and I have always genuinely loved caring for others. The feeling of accomplishment in how much I am able and willing to help someone each day is truly irreplaceable. I have worked in a multitude of care facilities and have always truly enjoyed it. Being able to help someone in any way that I can has always been something I have enjoyed, as well as giving them companionship which I think is something truly special. I would like to state that I am not currently a certified nurse assistant. My certification expired in September of 2017. I have been certified two times, so I have taken the class twice now and have had quite a bit of successful experience in being a caregiver. I do plan to acquire my certification again and further pursue my journey and career in healthcare.

I love being with and helping people. It's one of the best feelings in the world knowing that I'm going to work each day to make a difference. I got my CNA when I was in high school and I plan to go into nursing. I Recently just returned from serving a mission where I got serve people full-time.
