I became a caregiver to help an elder parent, when she would need more help. It is a good feeling knowing what to do when she needs help. I do like helping people and I have a sunny positive outlook on life.

While I have typically worked in a dental clinical setting for most of those years I have always put my patient first and their specific needs as my priority. While in high school I did obtain my CNA license but went a different educational path from nursing to receiving my Dental Assisting certification. I hold a current CPR/AED for BLS Skills for a professional rescuer. Proficiency in medication management. As well as SPICE certified per OSHA guidelines. While I loved the field and found it rewarding I also found that a work/life balance was not able to be reached. My son, who is autistic, has been a big motivator in my switching of careers. He has taught me more patience and understanding of people with diverse needs.
