I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. I enjoy working as a care provider to help others achieve their daily tasks. Families look forward to having an extra set of helping hands to care for their loved ones and this is where I fit in. I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter.
