Hello! I'm Kaitlyn, from Winchester, VA. I am a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA). I have 5+ years working as a CNA. I received my BA from Virginia Commonwealth University and I am currently working on my masters at Mary Baldwin University. I work a full-time at home job and am looking to pick up a few hours working as a CNA. I enjoy working as a CNA because I love getting to know people and their stories, assisting those who may have no one else to depend on, and providing genuine support. I am laid back and easy going. My clients like me because I allow them to do whatever they're able to do. I only help them to keep them safe. I feel my client find their autonomy one of the most important things they have left. I love this work. I feel like I'm an important part of these people's lives. The one thing I hate is when I have to leave them for one reason or another.

I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I'm a very caring person I tend to put peoples needs before my own a lot I grew up with a aunt who was wheel chair bound and I've always admired my grandmother for taking care of her and always made me want to care for those who can't care for them self . It's a bitter sweet moment working in health care being the one these people see in their ending days it's an amazing feeling but being there and watching the transition is kind of hard but it's worth it knowing they had someone by their side the whole time while family members have to continue to work and maintain life a personal achievement would be juggling being a single mom and a caregiver never allowing the two to effect EACHOTHER .. and keeping a loving caring heart with the world we live in today

I'm really down to Earth! I'm an old soul in a young body! I almost never stop smiling! I love to talk to my elders because they have already lived many years and I love to hear their stories! I have 3 kids ranging from 6 years old to 18 months old! My 6 year old is Autistic but I manage well with everything! I always work everything at home around my work schedule! I am a girl that likes to be early to everything! Lateness is not acceptable! I have worked in Assisted living since I was 19 years old; from 2015 to 2020! I currently work with special needs adults in a care facility! Not only am I CPR certified but I have my Food Handler Certificate && I am COVID-19 vaccinated! I believe I am a great caregiver because I genuinely enjoy helping people, it is very rewarding for me. I became a CNA in 1996, while working at a large nursing home/retirement center, in the hospitality field, because I really enjoyed working with the elderly making their lives a little brighter. I continued to work there for seven years, I also worked in assisted living for ten years, then private duty care which I also enjoy. I am a mature, caring, compassionate person, who will care for your loved one with respect and dignity. My greatest personal achievement was graduating from Kaplan University while working full-time.
