I became a CNA/HHA at age 17.I have always wanted to work in the medical field to help others.I have worked in several facilities as a caregiver working my way to become a med.tech,supervisor and cottage manager.I have worked for a number of families as well.Most recently, i cared for my mother for a period of 5 years+, untill her death at age 95 on 11/11/15. Caregiving was something that fell into my lap but found that is was a true passion. I am a retail manager and I have a patience for my customers that comes naturally. My fiance became very ill with heart failure at 38. He was the first person I cared for I took on this challenge with a 100% commitment with that I had to take an early retirement from my management position. I realized this is what I was meant to do all along. Unfortunately he passed away .My heart and patience with my fiance made me realize I can do this for others and have been cargiving ever since.
