Having worked in various health care professions, I find it a passion of mine to work with our elderly senior populations. I have both professional and personal experience working with loved ones who may be suffering from Diabetes, requiring assistance with meal preparations, running errands, and providing positive companionship with someone who suffers from Dementia & Alzheimer's Disease. I am proud to say that I am an honorable person who truly cares about anyone they work with, and I will always treat all individuals I provide care for as if they are my own family.

I am compassionate and empathetic. I genuinely care for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail and I'm self-sufficient. I've completed training in the following courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, Last phase of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical, Alzheimer's & Dementia Basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, to name a few. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

Caregiver Experience: In the past 6 years I've been both a live-in and live-out caregiver/companion/personal assistant for multiple clients (I've assisted with daily living activities, companionship, meals, transportation and medications). a) I helped a friend take care of her mother for 3 months who was under Hospice. I monitored her insulin shots and medications. b) I was a part of three end-of-life transitions working with both hospice in addition to team of caregivers to provide 24/7 care. c) I assisted my sister in her recovery after a kidney transplant. d) I helped both my mother and a friend with their rehabilitation exercises and recoveries after having had strokes. - Special Interest/Skill: Listening and Coaching by asking questions - which often assists people in discovering their own answers and in having interesting and meaningful conversations (with all types of people). - Background: 20+ years as an application programmer. - Other: If you're aware of the Myers-Briggs type indicator (MBTI); I'm an INFP (Introvert - Intuition - Feeling - Perception). I've had a life long interest in communication and have participated in numerous workshops and classes in communication styles. With this knowledge - I've found that I'm able to to communicate effectively and respond appropriately with others.

I am a mother of four lovely girls. Ages 21,19, 17 and 11 yrs. old. I graduated as Bachelor Nutrition and Dietetics 1996 and been Registered Dietetians in the Philippines now I am studying Nutrition here in CA to pursue my career for as Registered Dietitian CA for my success is my kids success to help them and inspire them..I will work since 2004 as Caregiver and until now....I love working as a caregiver and be able to help our seniors for they like my extended family for i am been orphans since i was 16 yrs. old so happy to be able to help and by caring with sencerity the family became like my extended family... because Ilost my parents early my children longing grand parents.... me and my husband lost our parents early... My husband lost his mom at age 12 and me i lost my dad i was only 4 years old and my mom at 16 years old so my patients become my extended family to me.... all of my patients even they die now all of there family been my extended family still have a communications with them... so I am a compassionate and loving person so glad to help who needs my help... i love to be your extended family with Tender Loving Care whenever i work with my patients! As pursuing my education and working also with kids part time job as Instructional Assistant for more than five years at Oak Grove School District.... so I can say I love kids and senior too! I became a cna because my great grandma who raised me became a diabetic and had to have both of her legs amputated. I was around 11or 12. She learned how to walk with new prostetics and her walker. Also I had to administer her insulin at times. She passed shortly after I turned 18. I dedicated my life to her.

( completed all 4 Covid vaccinations on 4/15/22 ) Registered Nurse for 26 yrs- ER, Surgery, Hospice, Home Health, now retired. Case manager for home care agencies for 7 yrs, I now offer private consultation as well as hands on care for Activities of Daily Living, Companionship, etc. I am very familiar with elder care/memory care, Including but not limited to, Dementia/Alzheimer's. I am also familiar with Parkinson's disease and medications. Extensive experience with catheters, feeding tubes, Hoyer lifts, etc. I have lots of experience with end of life care. I can offer training/education to caregivers and/or family. I can attend doctor appointments to keep Health Care Team and family informed. I can handle medication administration, reminders, refills, etc. I will monitor for medication efficacy/ overall condition and contact MD if any issues arise. I thoroughly love what I do. I enjoy working with my clients, which become like family to me. My clients needs and comfort are my number one priority. I am dependable and responsible. After taking care of my mother and father in law who were both treated for cancer. I saw the emotional and physical toll that it takes. I decided that I wanted to help other families with the support they need to take care of their loved ones when in need.

I became a caregiver because the profession I wanted to become is to be a nurse. I am a great caregiver because I am a compassionate and kind person. I give my more than 100 % excellent care with my clients and they can feel my sincerity and warmth caring for them. Their family have assurance that their loved one's are in good hands when they leave. Working in a hospital setting with different culture diversity, I have learned to know what they need and respect their culture. The patients that I have taken care of loved me for they know that once I am on duty they know that they would be happy and satisfied with their care. I learned how to handle different temperament of elderlies, some are difficult but with good communication skills and explaining to them that the care I am giving them is for their own good and to get a positive result. Being recognized and commended by my co-workers, superiors and families of my patients of how great I worked is rewarding that motivates me more to deliver excellence of what I do. I was awarded as employee of the month in our unit. I am a very caring person and can easily get along with co-workers, patients and their families. Hardworking individual and can get the task done in a timely manner with positive result. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills, very good in following instructions and delivers excellent service.

What makes me a good caregiver would be I'm very compassionate I'm honest caring loving and I love to help people what push me into the medical field I volunteered for a year-and-a-half with my grandmother until she moved to Sacramento and I like what I did so I went and got my CNA I'm a certified CNA and that's the accomplishment that I am most proud about
