I am an experienced CNA with care specializing in various dementia types (most commonly Alzheimer's Disease). I have cared for these individuals 10 plus years in various settings including an assisted living facility, day health care center, personal family members of my own, and in their homes. While I love the elderly and the special gift it is to care for each of them, I have a passion for those who have Alzheimer's disease ( or type of dementia) as they hold a special place in my heart. Although the disease is tough to watch a loved one go through, there's still that person who deserves the love, support, dignity and care as any one of us. I could go on and on about my passion. Im a mother of 3 beautiful kids. Taking care of people is something I not only am good at but I love it. I take care of my clients like they are my family, my grandparents have passed away years ago so I truly treasure the time I am blessed to share with my clients! I take pride in my work and try to enrich clients lives as much as possible. The elderly are almost the forgotten generation and it saddens me when I see them treated with anything less than the respect they deserve. Getting to know my clients and hear their amazing life stories truly inspires me! I try to go above and beyond for my client's, for example I had a client that I would read Bible verses to her every day, before she passed away she told her family that she wanted me to sit with her daughters at her funeral, that was such an honor!
