I am a compassionate caregiver and have over 20 years experience. I enjoy helping my clients feel as independent as possible, truly taken care of, their needs and concerns addressed, and like a valuable person, not a number. I support and encourage the family (when appropriate). I'm good with most pets. I do not smoke, drink, or do drugs. I'm honest, trustworthy, and I WILL show up!

I'm a very easy going person, I've been a CNA over 20 plus years. I treat my clients as though we're family or the way I want my mother to be treated. What attracted my to caregiving, was having compassion for others. I most enjoy about caregiving is getting to know my clients and/or their family. I believe in helping others that's what encourage me to be a caregiver, started out in California my first job was working at a long term care facility, as a Nurse aide at monte vista care center in Montclair CA where I took my CNA class and got my certificate in august 1991. From then I continuously working as a CNA at different facilities, hospitals, and private homes. I love what I do and with experiences that I have I know I can provide the superb care to my patients, clients, your loved ones.

What makes me great, is the love, compassion, my loyalty to my clients and family. Everyone has a calling, a purpose in life. And for me is helping, giving and sharing with others. My biggest achievement is watching someone get their confident back and feeling that they are not in it by them selves. Sharing their smiles, laughter and even tears. Just to know they know someone really care.

I am completing my graduate degrees, in social work and theology. I am a veteran who has experience as medic as well as over 10 years of caregiving experience. Although I am meticulous about client safety and well-being, I try to make sure clients are comfortable and enjoying their time with me. My ultimate goal is to be part of a care team that helps keep individuals in the home for as long as possible.

I became a care giver, because I was asked to help take care of my god father for a few months. I ended up staying in the field because I got another client by word of mouth and I absolutely love it. I enjoy what I do because I feel that I am making a difference in the lives of my clients not just because of their physical inability but the biggest part of my job is their mental well being. I try to put a smile and an Imprint on their heart every day. The personal achievement that I am very proud of, is that I have never had a client complain about my services. I pride myself on caring for my clients ,and their well being is a reflection of me. They may not always like the choices that I may have to make for them for their health but I have found, that they will appreciate the adjustments once they see and feel the benefits. I am very nurturing by nature . I appreciate my love and gift of servitude. I am a wife ,a mother, and a grandmother and I love family night once a month when we all get together and play taboo and eat a great meal together . My philosophy has always been "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." I also provide respite care. Short term and long depending on clients needs.

I helped my grandmother care for my grandfather who had Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, Then several years later i took care of my grandmother who had dementia. I had another grandmother who had COPD and I also aided in her care. I have worked for a care giving service and honestly found the true reward in just loving and caring for the wellbeing of others.
