I took care of my two younger brothers. Since then, I have been caring for people. I became a caregiver when I was 12 years old. My best friend was diagnosed with MS and MD at a very young age and she happened to be 64 years old at that time. We bonded immediately and talked daily. One day we were attending our weekly meeting at our place of worship and her usual caregiver could not be found. She needed help going to the restroom, I volunteered to help and I did everyday until her death at the age of 69 on January 31, 2013. I am blessed to have had the greatest connection and friendship that guides me in everything I do. She was a supernatural, phenomenal woman . She taught me how to smile, be kind and to love unconditionally. She is the reason my kindness never fails or crumbles. I am proud that over the years I have made many more friends and have learned such valuable lessons by just listening and observing my elders.
