I have been doing Caregiving right out of high school I started doing it in 1995 at the end of the year I have worked with all kinds of people I'm interested in what they have to say and what they need me to do I'm very good at it I treat them how I wanna be treated at their age I've always been good at my job I have good patients for everyone I'm not one of the ones that I was always in a hurry just to get through the day I'm there for a reason and that's to take care of the person and their needs that they need at that time of their life

I know I'm pretty young but I do have 12 years of experience. I took care of my grandparents that had cancer then took care of my mom they mentioned to be that I'm very good at taking care of them and I should go for caregiving so I did and I honest believe this is what I'm meant to do and believe it's my calling I very passionate and patient . I am fun, loving and caring, understanding and very patient. I started my life time commitment in caregiving when my father had a stroke and realized there is not enough help for our seniors. I was not happy with the care he was receiving at the hospital and rehabilitation center, so I decided to provide his care for him in my home. Since caring for my father I have had multiple long term clients whom have referred me to my next client when the job ended. I have many personal and professional references. I love providing companionship and assisting others. Many of my clients have become like family.

In my opinion I am a great caregiver because I have so much passion for my job. I take care of every elderly person as if they are my parents when they get older. I want to make sure they are happy, that's all that matters to me. The thing that attracted me to being a caregiver was taking care of my grandmother before she passed away. I cared for her for about 4 years and it inspired me to go and help those who can't do things themself anymore. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing these people are clean, fed, groomed and have a smile on their face. When you can't do something on your own; that extra hand is most delightful. A personal achievement I am most proud of is getting to where I am today, because being a caregiver was a goal I had for so long and I finally achieved it and I came out on top.

Taking care of older adults was an easy and natural transition for me after caring for my own mom full time. Becoming a caregiver helped me recover from loosing her. I cared for many elder members of my family also and found I have a natural gift. I enjoy their company and I love to hear their stories. I provide companionship, light housework, grocery shopping, take to appointments and provide meals. I have seen people recover from loneliness, some illnesses and become able to do more for themselves with the right encouragement and having someone who cares.
