I do enjoy caring for seniors because I do derive some satisfaction when I help elderly people feel loved, cared for and valued. I strongly believe that their lives should not be put on hold or or made feel undignified as a result of their age or any health challenge they may be experiencing. In doing my job effectively and wholeheartedly, I promote and encourage self worth, maintaining dignity, such that every client I work with, feels loved, cared for and appreciated as a valuable member of the community.

I became a care giver when I realized the effect it had on my M0M when she was ill. We did not as family have enough time to take the right care of her, so she could stay in her home and live the rest of her life were she was happy, safe and comfortable. Having a wonderful care giver made her quality of life much better. It also made us as a family less worried and we appreciated all the caring ways our care giver gave my M0M. I love being able as a care giver myself to make a difference in daily life for our wonderful seniors we have. They can be happy in their own homes, knowing someone cares. There is always someone to make them smile, hug them, and reassure them you will be back the next day. Personal achievement I am proud of is to work hard every day making sure my client is safe, happy and smiles when I walk through the door each day. I am a passionate care giver with a big heart,I enjoy doing little things for people as well as the big ones. I have a wonderful sense of humor and I leave my personal problems at home. I enjoy reading, swimming, conversation and listening to stories all our seniors have to tell.
