Since I can remember I always had a heart for the elderly so a few months ago I decided to take the AZ caregiving course (104 hours of training) so I would be eligible to work with them. I passed my state test with flying colors and have been working at an assisted living home since then. I am compassionate, patient, motivated, accountable, respectful and professional. I am results driven and I do not shy away from hard work. When I am with someone my goal is to brighten their day and make sure they are comfortable, safe, and happy.
Fifty four year old widower eager to stay active and connected, with years of experience providing dignified personal care and encouraging companionship, my late wife and I operated a large care home for many years. I have Arizona approved caregiver certification, I've obtained advanced C.P.R, and Medication monitoring and finger print back ground clearance. I hope to connect with a family seeking an intelligent stable mature gentleman who they can rely on to care for a senior loved one in need of a companion, caregiver and friend.
i believe that i am a great caregiver because i have an extreme amount of empathy for the elderly. i can "feel" the need and the pain of what most are feeling. i became a caregiver for that reason and also to pay back for the guidance and support and the struggles they had to endure. I am a hard worker. i believe that people can do some sort of the tasks they have done before they were placed in a care center or a snf. i have worked with stroke, head trauma, CHF, COPD, patients and gave them the skills and motivation to move forward. I showed different ways to put on a shirt and to be able to button it, how to eat with another hand, showing breathing exercises to those who are having a hard time breathing due to the COPD
I have been caregiving for about 1 year now and “still love what I do”. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing.
Helping people ,that,s what ii love . Making a difference in some one life ,providing with a smile ,being teachable over the years, and having the operitunity to apply what I learn, I am Fearfully and wonderfully made ,funny ,out going, and love people an that,s why I am a great caregiver.
I became a caregiver because I like getting to know people and I have always had a yearning to care for people who are not able to care for themselves. What I like about care giving is getting to know a person and helping someone who needs it but doing it in such away that they keep their dignity. When I care for a person I feel I have achieved a relationship where they feel important. I like photography landscaping nature and I like taking candid pictures because it shows the nature beauty of the person.
Maintaining and expanding my reputation as an excellent caregiver and the acknowledgement of my excellent service that I frequently receive from my clients and their loved ones mean more to me than almost anything else. I am always working on expanding my knowledge, skills and talents. I am a hard, conscientious worker. I take great pride in all I do. I am literally loved by ALL of my clients because I respect them and consider them friends. I have received countless emails, cards and letters from them in my short career. At each visit I try to challenge and encourage my clients and they feel better about themselves and what they have accomplished that day. I am a good conversationalist, always trying to find out more about my clients' interests and our commonality. I often arrive with “tricks up my slieve” – little surprises – to “make their day.” (One client actually said this to me.) I have a reputation with my clients of being an excellent cook able to prepare a wide range of delicious dishes, beautifully presented. In fact one client’s spouse, who herself is an excellent cook, suggested that I become a personal chef for some bachelor or retired couple. I appreciate art, high design and always try to incorporate “good design” in things I create; that includes food presentation. I believe our daily activities should be as enjoyable as possible and our environments should be as beautiful as we can make them. “Life is Art!”
