Caregiving is something that I should've started to do a long time ago. I believe being a caregiver is a natural talent for me. I love spending time with people of all ages. I really enjoy looking after my sister's children and I also find great joy in spending time with my grandparents. Making them happy and comfortable is rewarding. I like being the person that can help with daily activities, it is a fulfilling position. I'm thankful that I'm capable and compassionate about caregiving, I think it's a blessing to be a blessing.
Hello! N. Phoenix 5pm to 10pm only. I've been working in many aspects of healthcare since 1991. I Started out working with Young Adults with TBI and SCI injuries. I've run Alzheimer's Homes in the valley. From there I went into Hospital work as a CNA on Ortho, Med Surg, Tele, Oncology, Mental/Behavioral Health, Drug Addiction. Looking for more excitement I transferred into The Operating Room and worked as an Operating Room Assistant and later an Anesthesia Tech. Excitement got a little overwhelming so I learned to read Telemetry and was in charge of 60 plus people in the hospital on different floors. After 7 years there I left and started at Craig Hospital one of the Best rehab facilities in the country maybe the world. I was there for 13 years working with Major Brain injuries and Spinal cord injuries. In this time I became VERY proficient at working SCI & TBI. I'm a very good teacher which was part of my job educating family members so they could bring their loved ones home. I also have a VERY good understanding of TBI patients and spent Eight years working One On One with these individuals Relearning EVERY aspect of their lives again. Again, Educating family was a huge part of this job. I have tremendous experience and Impeccable references! In Twenty plus years in healthcare I've NEVER had a complaint against my license or inadvertently hurt ANY of my patients. Safety has always been my number ONE concern. I've received many awards for excellence in my years and go the extra mile to make sure my job was completed and my patients are comfortable and relaxed. After all we're here for them! I have a great personality and I'm VERY trust worthy. Im a man of my word. I work equally well with Men and Woman. My hearts in the right place. I'd love the opportunity to help you and your family member through difficult times. If you have any questions, Please feel free to inquire Thank You for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! What would make me be a great caregiver is that i have a sense of empathy, caring either for a small child to and elderly person. I understand and connect most of the time with Patients that they can create a sense of calmness and trust with in me. I also have lots of Patients for those in need of my help i listen to what ever they have to tell me so they can feel some affection towards a caregiver. What attracts me to being a caregiver is that i myself have grandparents living with me i know as getting to a certain age you need help and cant do many things for yourself, There for this is when i realized this would be a perfect job for, since i love to help others in need or may need any type of resources from me. What i enjoy most about being a caregiver is that you get to listen to other people, have a conversation with them and help them feel better. A personal achievement that i am proud of is that i have grown in this career path not only as for who i am but also my capability of managing a professional Medical Assistant in me and helping those in need of my help.

I believe I am a good caregiver because I have been on both side of the experience. I started care giving when I was 19 for my great grandmother who was on hospice and getting in home care. I was young but able to understand the significance in knowing the difference between " quality of life " vs " quantity of life " . And I also saw the great importance of being able to trust your loved one in the care of a stranger. Building a repor with your client is key to a successful experience for both sides!
I am passionate about caring for people. I believe that one should always treat others the way they want to treated, with respect, patience, dignity, and kindness. I enjoy caring for people and loving what you do is most important to being able to give others the best care. Raising my daughter Saturday (11 years old) has shown me everyday what a gift it is to have such love and compassion for others and also having taken care of my elderly parents has been a gift so it is my family that attracts me to the career in caregiving. What I enjoy most about caregiving is knowing that I have made each day more positive and hopefully helped someone to feel better emotionally and physically. A personal achievement I am most proud of is my volunteer work at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital where I was assigned to the Oncology Unit and working just to make the children on that unit love, play, or do artwork taught me how precious life is and how even the smallest kindness matters more than we know.

I enjoy meeting people and working with clients and patients. I am currently working at a senior living facility in north Phoenix 12 hour shift 3 days per week.
I became a caregiver because I really inspired by my mother I like to help people and I feel it is my .to help people esp.the elderly it is rewarding to be able to have a job like this were you can give back.and im happy to help other people esp.the elderly that really need help.I am God fearing person , kind heart, honest, very positive, very helpful, considerate, patient, understanding...
When I began caregiving I quickly figured out that I was literally being paid to be "me". I do for people what I would hope anyone would do for another person. I truly enjoy and learn from the senior community and its a privilege to spend time with them. I often say that I missed my era. I am most proud of my accomplishments as a mother and I feel the lessons I experienced raising my own children was a benefit to the compassion and nurturing nature I carry over into the lives and homes that I am blessed with in this profession. As I was told by my very first ,very mean client as I helped for the first time ever with toileting.......She said sternly "Girl would you treat me like you would want to be treated" Something clicked in me that day and I have been a Caregiver for 7 years since . I am blessed.
I have been a caregiver my whole life. I can remember as young as 8 years old, going to work with my mom visiting patients in their rooms, brushing the hair of a woman who was bed bound. I knew from an early age that taking care of others brought me joy. I attained a CNA Certificate in 1999 and have worked in nursing homes, rehab centers, private homes, one to one care, have also worked with terminally ill patients for a short time. I would love to go back to school for a Practical Nursing License in the near future.
