Since 1996, I have had the privilege of working and caring for amazing older adults all over Orange County CA. I am passionate and caring personal care assistant, committed to the promotion of quality postoperative in-home care. Providing personal and non-medical in-home care to my clients has been incredibly rewarding and each client felt like a member of my family. What drives me toward caregiving, is knowing that I am able to put a smile on my client's face. Knowing that I played a part in their journey back to health and wellness.
I have worked as a CNA for over 9 years and as an HHA for over 5 years. I enjoy what I do. My goal is to become a nurse and being a CNA and a Caregiver is a good first step. Whenever I work with my clients, my aim is to find creative ways to encourage them to do something more than they have done before. Though working with various clients has its ups and downs, it is especially exciting for me to see someone get better while in my care. Even a little progress is better than no progress at all.
I have always been a caregiver in many ways. I was a stay at home mom until my son entered school. At that time I worked as a teachers aide at the school my son attended. After I moved to Florida I then took care of my mother until she passed in 2014. In 2013 I obtained my CNA license and went to work taking care of my clients that were given to me by my employer as I worked for an agency. I enjoy being around people and taking care of the client as well as their household. I have always been a very hard worker and was taught to give my all to any job that was given to me. I am a very down to earth individual and love being with people. I am not afraid of working and I am very reliable and dependable. I love being a caregiver.
I became a CNA/HHA at age 17.I have always wanted to work in the medical field to help others.I have worked in several facilities as a caregiver working my way to become a med.tech, supervisor and cottage manager.I have worked for a number of families as well. Most recently, i cared for my mother for a period of 5 years+, untill her death at age 95 on 11/11/15. I am looking forward to going back to work to care for and love someone who needs assistance.

I truly believe this is my purpose in life, I love giving myself to help someone else . I'VE CARED FOR CLIENT WHO WERE BED WRITTEN TO COMPANIONSHIP. I CLEANED TRACKS, WOUND CARE,ASSISTED WITH INSULIN. I'VE USED LIFTS, HELP STROKE CLIENTS AS WELL. I HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE BUT MOST OF ALL I TREAT HUMAN THE WAY I WANT TO BE TREATED ..
I became a caregiver because of my Mother she had became ill and I wanted to care for her but because I was not experienced in the health field she wanted some one who was in the health care field, so she had to go to the hospital and when I went to visit her I seen that she was in pain and uncomfortable in the hospital bed, and I tried to help her but did not know how too, and that made me very angry, so I decided to take a class in nursing Assistant and Home Health, but by the time I was finished with the course my Mother passed away. which helped me to see that their are others that need help in their homes and in nursing homes and I wanted do it for my mother to care to those in need and, I love caring for others, and I know my Mother is smiling down on me every time I make a difference in helping someone to live their life as much as possible. My greatest achievement is when making life better for others, like I met a lady who had had a stroke and her husband was caring for her and she was having problems with her hands stiffening up so I made her a home made device to help her be able to open and close her hand for exercise, so she could regain her strength in her hands and move her fingers. It was just rolled up towels but it helped her and made a difference and she was so pleased and so was I.

Helping patients move in and out of their beds and re position them in order to prevent bedsores. I utilize modern medical equipment with my patients. I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION
My purpose in life is to help heal, understand, and live my life contributing to assisting the less fortunate and people who are in need. I have been fortunate to be surrounded by a handful of health professionals that have influenced me and help me advance myself. I have gained most of my knowledge simply listening to my clients and their advice and gain an abundance of wisdom from them. It is really fullfilling for me to work and assist others and giving my best performance really drives me. I have a very strong intuition and have a strong sense of what is needed to create a enjoyable environment for the ones I care for as well as any other caregivers involved as well as their loved ones. I am an out of the box thinker and have a strong sense of pride in all I do. I am great at problem solving and most importantly, making the relationship run smooth with as little problems as possible.
I take pride in providing quality services to those that would otherwise not be able to care for themselves alone. The smile on their faces makes me feel I have accomplished my job. I have always enjoyed helping others and the elderly have a special place in my heart as I was raised to respect others and shared precious moments with my grandparents that I cherish still today. What I find in serving others is that I get an opportunity to learn as well. I am a good listener, client centered with compassion. Empathy is embedded in my personality. Being an experienced caregiver I am familiar with the job and very much enjoy each day at work.
