I became a caregiver 2007. Once my kids were in school full time I needed to go back to work, I knew the Medical field was promising. I started caregiving, I fell in love with my job.
I found it rewarding.
I love talking and getting to know my clients, their life, families their stories.
I later got my Basic Life Skills license, and my Certified Nurse Assistant license. I have been working steady since.
I am hard working, very organized, and love to cook, I am compassionate, honest and dependable.
I have experience with Parkinson's, Dementia, Alheizmer's desease, Colostomy , G-Tube Wound care, Stroke victims. I believe that the elderly should be treated with respect, care and offered caring assistance. My goal is to assist seniors so that they could maintain an independent lifestyle. At the same time, loved ones and family members could feel comfortable knowing that a caring person is there to help.
In the past, I have worked with seniors and children with disabilities. I'll be happy to provide assistance in daily living which can include light housekeeping: sweeping, dusting, changing linen, washing dishes etc. meal preparations, assistance in eating, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and often snacks as well. Running errands grocery shopping, pharmacy ect. taking client to medical appointments, keeping up on my clients' hygiene, lite physical/ massage therapy or exercise routine as needed, weekly laundry. I'm very compassionate, loving, kind-hearted, intelligent, fast learner, good listener, patient, understanding, honest & humble, as well as trustworthy. Companionship is of high importance as well.
My hours of availability are open at this time; if weekends or other hours are required it can possibly be worked out. For new clients, payscale can be negotiable I take in consideration needs, driving time etc. I am currently looking to add one more 12 or 24 hr shift per week to my schedule. I am available wed, thurs, and sun. I would care for your loved one as if they were my own. Assist with all activities of daily living, medication reminders, companionship, and transportation. I have excellent interpersonal skills and uncommon ability to relate with and satisfy all kinds of clients. Professional, positive and confident personality with a strong work ethic. In-depth ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. I am organized, capable of multi-tasking and I learn quickly. I have previous experience with adults and elderly suffering from dementia, heart problems,quadriplegia, traumatic brain injury, kidney disorders, and ambulatory issues. I have also worked with infants and small children with developmental and physical disabilities.
