1. I grew up going to work in home health care with my mother and helped out a lot i came to love it. Caring for others is my life. Be it my children, family, friends or a personal caregiver, it's in my blood. 2. The people, being needed, appreciated and being helpful to someone who needs it. 3. I was a live in caregiver for a man with brain damage and a brainstem injury. He was totally dependant and had the mindset of a 5 year old. I worked hard with him every day, some days he didn't like me much, but by the end he was walking on his own, cooking his own meals, grocery shopping, using the restroom no longer needed adult diapers taking his medicine bathing and dressing himself and went from being child like to a proud reasonable adult and he no longer needed assistance. He had his life back. I'm very proud of bill Britton! 4. I'm a mother of a 13 year old girl and a 10 year old boy. I'm dependable, even when i don't want to be, i can't disappoint anyone, intentionally, or i feel horrible. I don't have any friends or family living close to me so i spend all my time at home being a mom. Never get out like people tell me to cause i always feel like i have too many responsibilitys I would rather tend to. I'm a pretty boring person I've been told. Note; My license and cpr certification has expired and I have not yet updated them. I definitely plan to in the near future.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field. I have a passion to care for others. My grandmother had a stroke and I had the blessing to care for her and having that blessing it made me the caring CNA that I am today. Before she moved in with me, the family put her in a nursing home and seeing how some nursing home could be made me want to forward in my career as a CNA and make a change in people's life's and show them there is a such thing as a great CNA. Over the years I have had the blessing of meeting amazing people and caring for amazing people in the Houston area. My last PT was a amazing Doctor from St.Joseph hospital. What I love about being a CNA is caring for my PT and seeing them smile. Before I became a CNA I was a single mom working two jobs trying to make ends meet I woke up one day and told myself I have to make a move for the better so I enrolled in school and got my certification that was the biggest achievement I made and very proud of.

I feel that my welcoming bedside matter. I make my client and there family feel comfortable, I treat my client with respect, and have them keep their dignity. I became a caregiver at a early age. My grandmother was going blind, and she went total blind, I was nine.. my sister and I both were awarded custody to my grandmother. I know how it is to lose apart of you. I was paying bills for my grandmother, making sure people didn't take advantage of her.. helping her with her cloths. This where the reason why I do what I do.. I enjoy helping people that need my assistance. Being a caregiver started helping my grandmother adapt to loosing her sight... I also was a type of kid that would go to the elder that lived in our building, and do aron's for them...I have always been an old soul, that is what my grandmother called it.. I guess you can say my this is my destiny.. I will bring nothing but kindness, compassion, and patients to your love ones..
I became a caregiver because I watched my mother care for others growing up and I love to see how happy it made her and the patient. Its a wonderful feeling helping some that is no longer able to care for their selves. I also learn from the people I work with there are such wonderful stories. You fall in love with the patients without even trying and they show you so much love. I'm proud of myself for going back to school with being a mother. I'm a wife and a mother of three girls and a very hard worker. I like to spend a lot of time with my family. Every free moment I get I like to spend it with them.
I have lots of compassion for others; especially those who can not take care of themselves. There are many people who are not as fortunate to do for themselves or who have recently have had their independence taken from them suddenly. I appreciate the fact that I have the opportunity to do all I can so that those people may feel happy and hopeful knowing others , such as I, care for them. A personal achievement I have was when I applied what I have learned in my years as a nurse, into an instance where I saved a life in a supermarket using my CPR training and other skills to resuscitate her back. I am a proud mother that takes a serious stand as being a positive influence in my kids lives, as well as others I come in contact with. I am a firm believer in being compassionate to those in need and unable to do for themselves. Making sure to meet every need for my clients is the hard work that I am proud of.
