I am a very compassionate woman. I understand that every person deserves individual care that meets their individual needs. My name is Michelle. I have enjoyed the last two years of training and caregiving experience with the elderly. I have worked specifically in an assisted living environment, where I managed the home with 5 care residents per one caregiver. Additionally, I have worked in homes with 10 residents per two caregivers. In each home, I have been able to individualize the care to each person, as their needs may be. I have experience in crisis' management, fall risk, dementia (Alzheimer's) care, and much more. I think I make a great caregiver because of the way my grandmother raised me and how I had to help her growing up. It makes my heart warming feeling knowing I'm helping someone In need! I want to be a caregiver to give back to those who helped shape my generation. It's also a learning experience, older people are very wise. They have been through life and can teach more then u know. I'm mostly a outgoing person I love to sing and play games. I'm very athletic ,I like to make people happy and smile! I also enjoy cooking!

I have been a caregiver to children for over 15 years. I recently obtained my nursing assistant certification, and have had experience working in a prestigious, skilled nursing facility. My passion is to care for people, specifically the senior citizen generation. I am a retired Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience taking care of elderly patients in the nursing home and hospital setting. I became a nurse because when I was young, my grandmother was very ill. I helped her with cooking, cleaning and activities of daily living; including shopping. I enjoyed helping and being depended upon. She always said I would make a great nurse and I believed her. I am a great caregiver because I love what I do and am passionate about quality of life for all. I have a sister with Down's syndrome and I helped take care of her and teach her many life skills. My parents are elderly now and I live out of state, but I keep very abreast of their care and daily living through daily phone calls and follow-up calls to doctors and social workers, etc. I have always taken care of my family, I became a nurse at 33 years old; when my last child went to school. I am very proud of that. I recently, in 2008, sustained a concussion which lead into post-concussive syndrome. I have come a very long way from where I was then, and even though, I cannot return to nursing as a career, my passion for taking care of the senior population has not waned one bit. It was my life's dream and I want to still be able to make a difference in people's lives.
