I began my journey 8 years ago when I became a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in long term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, memory care facilities, hospice, and the hospital. I did not know what I was getting myself into in the beginning but somehow I felt that helping others was meant for me. Being a caregiver is who I am. I enjoy people and connecting with them even when it is a challenge to do so. Every person is unique and has different needs. I always do my best to make them feel comfortable while finding joy in the day. I am currently in my second year of nursing school with a graduation year of 2024. I have 3 children plus 3 step children age in range of 10-17. I have a four legged, super furry son name Kai. I work on the weekends on the med/surg unit at the hospital. Now that school is starting up I have time available to do what I love and that is helping others live a better life.

I started helping care for my brother at 14 when he broke his neck in a car accident and became an incomplete quad. I'm creative and artistic, love to take my clients for walks, if permitted. I'm a 4 year Air Force Veteran, Medic, then worked for DOD as a Civilian Combat Photographer for 30 years, then retired. Being a caregiver will enabled me to assist my care families at a time that can be extremely difficult and allow them to get out to go grocery shopping, dinner or errands.
