I started out in a nursing facility in 2006 .When I was in training, I was taught how to care for total care patients and how to make an occupied bed. I am very passionate about the career I chose and feel I am responsible for the care that is needed to help them meet their daily needs.What makes me attracted is that I enjoy working one-on-one, in home care. I'm proud of telling my patient i work for hospice palliative care to let them know when you get on hospice that don't mean you on your last days that is not true.

I deliver person-centered care and forge meaningful relationships with patients, their families, and the medical team. I treat my clients like they're my own family. I provide the same level of care I would expect from a caregiver. I aim to create a loving, comfortable, and respectful work environment. I became attracted to this work because of caring for my mom in my early 20s. She lived with Epilepsy, and I was her caregiver. That role continued with elders who needed care in my family.

Some years back, my late husband was diagnosed with ALS and I became his primary caregiver. Years later as I decided not to continue working in retail, I became a phlebotomist and realized how much I enjoyed Patient Care, and realized how much compassion I felt for patients and their families and realized how much I enjoyed that kind of work. I transferred to a training program to become a Patient Care Technician. I worked in that capacity for several months. I loved my job but found that I would prefer working in a home setting or somewhere where more individual attention can be paid to patients.Although hospitals provide excellent care, there is usually pressure to spend as little time as possible interacting with patients and their families. Sometimes there is a need for more individual attention and patients may benefit greatly from that attention. I currently work one on one as a caregiver and find greater satisfaction from this than I did when there was so much pressure to spend less time with each patient.

I am a very careing person at all times . all love and joy I get from my resident's and I came to realize it's people's that really needs good CNA like myself . I enjoy mostly when I walk in for work and everyone is happy to see me family worker's and all my resident's that let me know how well I'm doing my job. Passing my state board test twice
