What attracted me to being a caregiver would be my parents with my mother having multiple hernia replacements, and my father being a dialysis patient, on top of ongoing health conditions far as diabetes etc. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that I'm able to help someone who isn't capable of preforming their daily task on their own, knowing that I am capable with my skills and ability to provide to someone who is in need makes me nothing but honored. I'm a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). I'm a good nature, compassionate, very caring to people and natural in caregiving, I have 12 hours certification on Caregiver Core, and 11hours certification on Mental Health, and I'm currently still finishing up my 23 hours online class with dementia care certifications. As a young kid at 11 years old, I help take of my aunts mom who had Alzheimer's, took care of my sick brother who was in and out of hospital for 3 months. Later in my life when I got here I got here in the bus by 2008 I took care of my mother who just a had stroke she bed bound for over a year, I was 24 hours caregiver, she recovered from in the middle of 2010, and then early 2012 she was diagnosed of stage 4 lung cancer, I took care of until she past away four months later. After she past then I became my father in-laws primary caregiver as o have been already during the time my mother in-law is sick. My father in-law suffers from deabetes type 2, and dementia was there for him from the beginning until the end stage of dementia and eventually until he past away on June, 2015- I discover since I was young that I love caring for people I love to make people happy,...I know that caregiving is gift that I was born with, I know that this is hard job for a lot people if it's not nature to take on big responsibility. I take that responsibility seriously just like I would care for my own family.

I am a humanitarian with empathy for people. I have compassion for people, I have a great personality, I am patience. I'm spiritual, giving, caring, and I love helping people reach there goals. I was attracted to caring giving because I worked in the field with women that had addictions to drug & alcohol abuse, women that were in domestic violence relationnships. I enjoy spending time with people, helping them achieve their goals, and ambitions. I am proud I was able to care for my former client for 22 years and she became like family and she is now able to do more things for herself. I also cared for a client for 5 years with colon cancer until she passed.

First and foremost I love my job, I love making a difference in people's lives Secondly I'm a mother who took care of two sweet babies by myself, so since the people we support some times need tenderness, I have all the skills to handle them with care and love Thirdly , I'm very calm and patient person, most of the patients we give care for need to be handled patiently especially those with dementia. And some patients are get problems with adjusting to new care givers in their homes, so me being a professional care giver I have the capacity to fit in and make sure they get comfortable with me.
