I am 30 years old seeking a position in the caregiving industry due to having experience/Knowledge in the field ,being CPR/First Aid certified, as well as having a soft spot In my heart for our senior citizens and small children. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant/Caregiver for over 20 yrs. I am compassionate and understand the importance of meeting the needs of clients while helping them maintain a high quality of life. I truly enjoy the one on one and getting to know the person and building a trust with them. The smile on there face is priceless. To know there needs without verbal communication at times are being met. I enjoy taking on some of the responsibilities that families are not always able to take on due to there schedules. What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.

I've always wanted to be a caregiver/cna since I was a child . I come from a family that has multiple health issues & I've always wanted to take care of them so they wouldn't have to be placed in a nursing home/ residential care facility where they wouldn't receive the care that they deserve. What makes me a great caregiver is my passion towards my work & mainly my residents. I feel that each individual deserves the best care no matter what their illness is. I like being a caregiver because I can care for the elderly if they're family can't. I love to make them feel safe and comfortable being around me and also comfortable in their skin .
