I started doing caregiving in 2006 working for IHSS. I stayed with them until 2011. I loved the one on one with the client's. I have worked in facilities but didn't like that people weren't always getting the best care from all of the caregivers. I been doing private homes for a lot of years since. I love what I do and I am very grateful to do it. I have a lot of patience and compassion for my clients and there families. I try to give them the best care that they deserve. I do currently work for Cross Country Workforce doing Caregiving. I enjoy my job and I love working with families . I love being able to help someone that's in need of care. It makes my heart smile.

Caregiving is a very personal job, still I find ways to incorporate love, humor, cheerfulness, fun, hope, trust and optimism into my care. I look forward to building a close relationship with my clients as well as their family. I love that I get the opportunity to listen and learn about thier lives as it allows me to live vicariously through their many adventures, life accomplishments and travels. I find capturing their legacy most fascinating...respecting their dignity. Lastly and most importantly, meeting them when/where they need it most in their life's journey... be it a speedy recovery or their final chapter in the book of life.

What makes me a great caregiver is my genuinely love to help and be there. I don't work this field for a paycheck. I love working this field because its who I am. What attracted me to this position as a caregiver was my grandmother. I have always taken care of her and it always made her happy. I never treated her or any of my patients as work. I genuinely loved them all and cared and treated them and looked at them as my extended family. My personality traits are huge personality, very silly when around loved ones or anytime someone is down. I can always make someone who's down smile. I have a very huge heart. I enjoy everything about being a caregiver. Each day of just knowing I've helped someone with each day in there life to make it easier any way that I can is the best feeling. Knowing that I made someone smile and i can help someone in the way is needed without feeling like they cant do it is the best feeling.

I have been a caregiver 18 years and completely love my job. I have worked in a few facilities as a(cna) but I love to provide care in home working one on one with my client. I take pride in going that extra mile to make my client and there family happy. I have a very flexible schedule which opens me to varies shifts . I'm filled with great joy when taking care of others, we can never imagine what life may bring or when we may need to be cared for ourselves. I believe that the elderly should be treated with respect, care, and offered caring assistance. My goal is to assist seniors so that they could maintain an independent lifestyle. At the same time, loved ones and family members could feel comfortable knowing that a caring person is there to help. In the past, I have worked with seniors and children with disabilities. I'll be happy to provide assistance in daily living which can include light housekeeping: sweeping, dusting, changing linen, washing dishes, etc. meal preparations, assistance in eating, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and often snacks as well. Running errands grocery shopping, pharmacy, etc. taking client to medical appointments, keeping up on my clients' hygiene, lite physical/ massage therapy or exercise routine as needed, weekly laundry. I'm a very compassionate, loving, kind-hearted, intelligent, fast learner, good listener, patient, understanding, honest & humble, as well as trustworthy. Companionship is of high importance as well. My hours of availability are limited at this time; if weekends or other hours are required it can possibly be worked out if you are located in Riverside or if there is a need for a possible live-in position. For new clients, payscale can be negotiable I take into consideration needs, driving time, etc.

I am a very compassionate person I try to have humor to make any situation a little bit better when necessary, I love being present so that I know from beginning to end what is going on and what needs to take place, I consider myself to be very detailed oriented and is willing to set boundaries for the safety of my clients and others around. I love being a caregiver because I enjoy spending time with my elders and making them feel comfortable and safe at all times.
