About me. My name isJeanette Lopez I'm 44- years old . I was born and NY raised in Puerto Rico . I would describe myself as outgoing , friendly, and talkative. I thrive when surrounded by other people, and find it easy to connect with anyone I meet. Always looking for bridges , not fences. I would also say that I have a sense of humor, and people generally enjoy my company. I think what describes me the best is the "creative mind " because I always enjoy to come up with ideas, think outside the box, or even challenge the status quo. I believe in lifelong learning and personal growth. I developed an interest in caregiving at a very young age. During my teenage years. I I help my mother with my grandparents . I knew since then I loved helping caring for other. I always enjoyed playing and combing my dolls hair, feeding and play cooking for them. I always look after the house keeping home cleaned and organized. I have been a Certified Home Health Aide for 20 years . Since I could remember I've always wanted to help people. Growing up I watched my great grandmother helping everyone that she could. I was always being told that to be in the healthcare field it takes a special person. While that is true I believe that person has to have the passion and love for what they do. Hi there, my name is Shawn I am a 38 year old divorced mother of two. I have a passion for helping others and enjoy spending quality time with the elderly. I moved to Florida roughly 6 years ago and was given an opportunity to visit a local nursing home during my visit I was rather shocked to say the least. I understand the employees don't always allow for much one on one time but the amount of elderly I frequently witnessed not receiving any companionship broke my heart. I made it a commitment to spend 2 hours 3 days a week at this facility to interact with anyone that wanted the interaction. We would play games, cut coupons to help keep their hands moving, go for small group walks in the fenced area and have actual conversations. I am looking to build an actual friendship with each client if they want to go to a nice lunch I am willing to take them, a walk in the park, to the mall , just out for a drive I am willing to do it just to know they are enjoying their day means I have done good for someone outside of my home.
