I am a 37year old CNA and mother of three,I became a caregiver because I love helping others and caring for those who can't perform or need assistance with their daily activities. When I was a young girl my mother was diagnosed with MS and my siblings and I were responsible for helping her with her daily activities and from that moment forward I knew that was my calling. In the past I have taken care of several loved ones and others until they're last moment here and thats what I feel like I am here to do, its my passion. I love to cook also. I am a non smoker, non drinker, I have a good driving record and I have a excellent background. I have experience working with Alzheimer's, Dementia, stroke, cancer patients, brain injuries, Parkinson, diabetes, ALS, patients with feeding tubes, Foley Catheters,, Tracheas, and vents. I like to help people who doesn't have the ability to help themselves. When I see the elders I am picturing my mother. I like giving them care, I also like to see them going to the next level while I'm with them. I'm a married woman I have four children and two grandchildren.

I am married with a 14yr old son and im the oldest of 7 so im pretty much use to being the person others depend on and leaning on me for support. I started out in the health field in 2008 working with the disabled people.. From the ages of 5 and up. I worked with people With autism I work with people with behavior issues, CP cervical, to people with diabetes cancer Strokes Alzheimer dementia I work with people with catheters G tubes pretty much all the above I love what I do I started out as just a support provider and now I'm a Certified nursing assistant, now currently state certified Patient Care Tech, I am currently in school for Radiology Tech. I definitely love my health career and plan on staying in this field for a while

Hi! My name is Shenya I am currently a junior Nursing major at Georgia State University. My attraction to caregiving started with my grandmother who was ill most of my life. I helped my family out a lot when it came to her health. I helped her bathe, cook, made sure she took the proper medication for the day and also refill her medicine. I cared for her from 2012-2015. Even though my experience is limited I do have the knowledge from learning over the past few years.

I became a caregiver to help people feel more independent while in there own home .I love being a caregiver because the look on clients face when you make them feel independent is priceless. I am upbeat and very friendly! I'm very compassionate and patient. Some things I feel that makes me a great caregiver is my integrity, punctuality, reliability, and my ability to observe and learn my clients pretty quickly. What attracts me to being a caregiver in particularly is I am passionate about helping the elderly because I've witnessed the negligence that elder people endure. It's very heartbreaking to see, so being that one good caregiver who is able to give the care I wish to receive for myself and my loved ones, if ever needed, makes a difference for me. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is seeing the smiles and laughs on my clients faces, it makes me feel good and like I'm doing something right. A personal achievement I am very proud of is being a strong advocator for my clients who can't advocate for themselves. For example, I have a client who is cognitive impaired and is living in a nursing facility. On several occasions I've stopped nurses from giving her the wrong medications, amongst other things. I can honestly say I really love what I do, and I love and care for my clients like they are family!

I'm great at being a caregiver due to the fact I ALWAYS treat my patient as if they're my mom or dad!! Have taken care of dementia, hospice, cancer, assisted w/ bathing, getting dressed, housekeeping, dr. appointments, & meal prepping. I can promise you, your family will be well taken care of!! Been in medical field for 8 years!!!
