What makes me a great caregiver I will say that I really care about people I tried to listen to what their needs and wants are and try to provide them with the best of my ability. I'm a caring loving person I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated, I became a caregiver when I was 13 years old taking care of my grandmother and her friends that was Eastern star members. I would go to their homes and prepare their food and take out the garbage and clean their homes in the summertime I found a lot of joy in helping them. The most thing that I enjoy about being caregiver is being there for someone that really needs me, listening to their stories, providing the care that they need. It gave me great joy to know that I am need it and want it. My personal achievement is to start my own group homes for the homeless, for the children, and for the seniors, and for the mentally ill. I want to see if community their work together stays together I think everyone needs each other to make this world a better place to live .

I am caring and loving. I've been doing this job for 25 years because I didn't like how my parents were left in the nursing home, I felt sad. I have always enjoyed waiting on, taking care of, and the company of the elderly, I also like lightening the load of the family. The things that I like about being a Caregiver, is the personal satisfaction I get out of being where I'm needed and receiving so many letters of appreciation from so many families, and office staff. I am a very loving 61-year-old CNA/Home Health Aide (10 years), Caregiver, Companion/Sitter, with 26 years of Home Healthcare under my belt. I am empathetic, full of compassion, kind and have (so I've been told), possess a wonderful sense of humor. I enjoy being helpful and have loads of energy, which helps a lot, considering I love to stay busy. I am computer savvy, and can perform certain duties online. My client's and their families become very comfortable around and with me. They soon realize that I enjoy challenges, and I have a great working relationship with other members of the medical team. I am a great cook, and have so much experience in the home healthcare field, that I can handle pretty much anything that comes my way. All in all, myself, and others that matter, believe that this is my niche in life; and I am excellent at it. Proficient in Alzheimer's/Dementia, Cancer, Hospice, and Incontinent Care. I specialize in couples. General Housekeeping and laundry provided, depending on the case.

Skills & Certifications: Home Health Care, Vision and Eye Disorders, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Arthritis, Depression, Hearing Disorders, Cancer Recovery, Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, Skin Disorders, Cardiovascular Disorders, Stroke, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hospice Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Respiratory Disorders

I was a Librarian back in the Philippines but when I came to the US in 2006, my friend encouraged me to try working with the elderly as a caregiver. Since then, I have been working as a caregiver and I developed the love and passion in taking care of the elderly. I had experienced.taking care.of elderly with different health issues such as Alzheimers, Dementia, diabetis, heart diseases (ie. CHF), Lung or respiratory disease, Stroke, non-ambulatory, bed bound elderly, etc. I assist them with their activities of daily living, prepare meals, laundry, do light housekeeping, medication reminder, assist with their errands and there were some elderly who asked me to organize their bills, do grocery and run other errands for them. I was not only a caregiver.but also a personal assistant. I am proud of being a caregiver because I know I make a difference in the lives of the elderly and I become part of the last journey of their lives. My nationality is Filipino, married, with 4 grown up children and 12 grandchildren who live in the Philippines.
