Hi, Im Zakyah peferably "Kyah" and i have been doing caregiving since 2020. I find myself very caring, patient, and flexible, i have alot of compassion for helping others and definitely my elders, I am very big on trustworthiness due to me having great grandparents in their 80's who i also take care of when i can but as to me working i have to have a caregiver for them during the week , so i feel as if me knowing what i would want for the best care for them , showed me everything plus more of what i needed to do myself to be the best caregiver i could possibly be. Being with my great grandparents and being their caregiver and seeing how great i did with helping them inspired me to go into this feild and start helping others also, i enjoy caregiving alot. The thing i enjoy most about caregiving would have to be my confidence i always see the good in someone's condition or their abilities, i would also have to say being able to give back and help my elders , elders do alot throughout their lifetimes weather its helping others or just their daily lives during their early life, so i feel as if giving them the care they deserve is very necessary.

My name is Sherry, I have been in health care for over 31 years. I enjoy helping, and honoring our elderly community. I started my health care journey working in a nursing home atmosphere and quickly realized that I enjoyed the one on one conversations and I enjoyed learning and hearing the experiences of my clients. I moved over to Home Health and instantly knew that was what I was meant to do. whether it is total hands on care, that little extra help that's needed, or just the companionship, I have learned so much over the years and continue to learn and enjoy what I do, it truly is the most rewarding experiences Ive had. I love the feeling that Ive helped make someones day just that much better.

First and foremost, I am the mother of a one year old daughter. I love cooking, doing hair, and playing trivia games. I've been helping elderly people since I was 12. My grandmother inspired me, as I would go with her to a few houses around the neighborhood and help out the older people in our community. I then ended up taking care of my grandmother. The thing I enjoy the most is them knowing someone cares. I enjoy listening to them and assisting whenever I can. I've learned so much working with different people. What I'm most proud of is I learned how to be better day by day. Communication skills are way better because I learned how to actually listen.
